Niyi KarunwiThis is supposed to be a social and recreational club for Federal public servants and other residents. It’s in a very good and convenient location in a highbrow area of Lagos, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi near Onikan. But that’s the only good thing about the club. It is TOTALLY run down with very poor facilities. The structures are already giving way and have become hazardous to members and guests. Every space has been hired out to petty traders. The only facility “working” is the modestly run lawn tennis courts which also need a facelift. The club has become an eyesore and if something drastic is not done, it’ll be better for the Lagos State Government to take it over and turn its seaside view into a tourist centre. Guests are advised to be cautious and watchful for any lurking danger.
