I bought a complete package for my wife (lodging and a day at the spa) because it was her birthday. I was given a list of what would be enjoyed and the last item on the list was a "complementary gift". At the end of the treatment we were told that the last item was not applicable to the plan that was purchased even though it was on the list. I expressed my displeasure as I was not told at the time of purchase of this development and the entire list constituted part of the conditions for which I bought the package. The manager intervened and rather than trying to diffuse the situation, continued to justify their position as to why there was no gift, however I persisted. The manager thereafter went to the bar and put a can of coke in their paper bag and handed me the "complementary gift". I must admit I felt very insulted and cheated as I walked away from the facility having rejected the gesture. I believe that the matter could have been handled with a little more maturity to give us a better experience but the manager chose not to.

I prefer to give feedback directly, but when I tried to yesterday, all I got was attitude from staff and their website requires you to sign up to receive emails from them before you can send through comments, so here it goes. For the price, there are much better places to stay in Lagos. Especially given the misrepresentation of being a spa, that apparently does not render spa services? Since I believe in feedback being a positive experience, let me start with good things: comfortable beds, large rooms, efficient room service. What needs work: quality, customer service, lights in one section of Iarge room did not work and maintenance decided it would be a good idea to come by at 10:30pm to fix it (I had mentioned the issue about 3 hours earlier). I was ready for bed and did not answer, so lights are presumably still unfixed. I check in early for my one day getaway stay, excited to patronize spa services, only to be told that the spa was not available. Not only was this not mentioned anywhere on website or directly to me in during the one week timeframe between when I made the booking and checked in, but your staff seemed to think it was my fault for not explicitly asking beforehand whether a facility with the word “spa” in its name, actually had those services available. To add insult to injury, the personalized letter left for guests in rooms (a nice touch in most circumstances - mentions your amazing spa services! At what was a very scanty breakfast, your staff seemed annoyed that I was even asking for coffee. Such a disappointment. Definitely will not be there again and would encourage others to avoid as well, if what they are looking for is a nice getaway. Like I said, could be so much better, but service delivery and quality make other hotels much better options, especially given the price.
