A great deal of work is being done here. Road construction and Pedestrian bridge. There is a roadside market below and several covered bus sheds. Also beneath the bridge are several bus stations. You can get a bus to almost any part of Nigeria from Oshodi. A lot of work has to be done in terms of hygiene. Also more Pedestrian walks and cross walks have to be created because it makes walking around Oshodi clumsy

Lagos has installed the longest free-standing pedestrian bridge in the history of Nigeria at the Oshodi transport interchange, now finished The 53.2m bridge is only supported at the two ends without any support at the middle and it connects two of the terminals of interchanged “For anyone to access each of the sky bridge, you have to use the lift and we also have staircase for emergency exit. The skywalk is part of the features of the Oshodi Transport Interchange designed to make travel pleasurable, enjoyable, safe and more comfortable for commuting Lagosians. “We also have another one that is linking terminals two and three and that is about 155metres long. people can move from one end of the terminal to another be it from terminal one, two and three and then the nature of the terminal is such that we have six lifts and one escalator, and so in all we have 18 lifts and three escalators. The Oshodi interchange is completed

A world class and magnificent remodeling of the Oshodi Bridge started since late 2018. New Bus terminal expected to serve about One Million (1,000,000) commuters daily to and fro the Oshodi area. There are three (3) bus terminal expected to serve the 4 Cardinal axis of the Oshodi area. By the time the train station and rails are complete, Oshodi will become the West African hub of transportation. There are lightings and good security monitoring all activities the whole day (24 hours). Terminal 3 is already functional, servicing Oshodi-Berger , Oshodi-TBS, Oshodi-Obalende to and fro at very affordable transport fare. There is a terminal expected to serve the inter state commuters. Oshodi bridge is becoming better and safer since the construction of the Oshodi Bridge. Hoodlums have no hiding place anymore in Oshodi especially under the bridge. Maintenance is key to sustaining this project. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Oshodi Bridge should be termed Oshodi Bus Terminus. It is a world class structure comprising of three terminals but only terminal 3 is in use which caters for Ajah, Ikorodu and Berger bound passengers. When in full use, the bus terminus would cater for to more routes in and outside Lagos. It is very accessible to both wheel chair and all types of goods. It is located in the heart of Oshodi and comprises of ticketing booths, various floors for bus and passengers’ interchanges and sitting queues for various passengers depending on their routes. Different stands exist under the bridge and around where various items are sold: clothes and footwears, food items, etc. Vehicles transporting people to different locations inside Lagos and to nearby states like Ondo and Ogun are also to be found under the bridge. There is also a higher bridge linking two BRT bus terminals above the bridge.

Formerly dominanted or inhabited by touts, hoodlums and miscreants but the Lagos state government under Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is making giants stride in redeveloping this place by investing in infrastructures. An ongoing project as at time of this review is the construction of an international standard interchange. The sight of the structure even while its yet to be completed looks so beautiful.

Very busy bridge and important landmark. The top of the bridge leads to the Apapa, Isolo axis including the International airport. The other axis leads to the Lagos island, ketu and the ibadan expressway. Under the bridge leads to mushin and the other axis leads to ikeja and the abeokuta expressway. This is a very busy and congested area with a market place.
