#katangowamarket is a mega market in abulegna area of Lagos state.their particular busstop is super bus stop.this. market has been favoured with a pedestrian bridge from the ongoing construction along that route, that is oshodi-abulegba BRT lane inclusion. This market specialized in second hand clothes and shoes but there are also traces of bags and new wears.this market does not have standard shop buildings, also internal road links are in bad conditions. No parking space,no wheelchair access. But there is crowd. • S
    Sesan Ayeni
A typically chaotic open market with no real clear delineation as per proper arrangement of merchandise in rows and sections. There are shops as well as those who just display their wares on the sidewalks, under canopies and all sorts of shades. Katangowa market is known for used clothing, household items from refrigerator, television sets, air conditioners, iron, microwave, sofas, including office equipment and all kinds of scraps at bargain prices. There is a huge international flavour to it; particularly those countries along the Western part of Africa. Sanitation as you will suspect is a major problem here and a major market such as this requires a bit of investment to make it even more appealing to those who patronize it.
  • M
    miss Olayinka

Katangua market is also known as Super Market. Some people call it Katangua, some call it Katangora others call it Katangowa. They are all the same. Katangua market is one of the top markets to get quality yet cheap things- especially clothes.Well I don’t like to call things you buy from katangua cheap – maybe affordable is a better name. Katangua Market Days Katangua has three market days.- Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. These market days are when the traders “open bale”.

This is an ancient market. A market that has been before I was birth by my adorable mother. This market is mainly known for a hub of clothings. Every age bracket has what fits, size and suits them. Even to the point of school bags, laptop bags, travelling bags and trolleys, shoes and footwear of all kinds. The operation days of real deal business and activities are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Others days business activities are low and things a little expensive unlike the other days when clothings are a bit cheaper. The market has names like Katangowa, Cele and Super. The size of the market expands everyday as demand for clothings increases more sellers are coming up such that it has offshoot its land mass.
