I am a regular customer of the Victoria island branch of your store. I visited today to buy some groceries, on getting home, I was full of surprised that the goat meat I bought was off, the smell alone made me feel sick, it was just horrible. Hunbmart Victoria island should be ashamed absolutely disgusting to sell a stale meat, especially during this pandemic. I think people life should be more prioritize than money. I have dropped the goat meat back to a member of your staff. Hopefully the message to passed across to the management. However I am going to become wiser and travel a little further and make sure I get everything I need and not run out of anything. Just can’t think of anything positive to write about this particular supermarket store.

Hubmart is a complete setting for filling your tummy and booth. They have the best eatery so far that I know in Nigeria aside the fact that they dish the most volume of foods. I also notice that unlike other eateries that uses female servers, they use males instead. May be that is why their portions and chickens are more. Laughs. Their supermarket is wonderful and the various assorted nuts they sell in good measures is another standout plus for them, no wonder lots of European expatriates do flock there. I hope they stay consistent.

So I was hungry from long working hours at the coffee shop - Vestar and decided to have lunch. I came to Vestar because I felt it will be more affordable that Yellow Chilli close to Vestar. Cost wise I’m impressed - the plenty food I was served was just a little above N2000. See receipt. The restaurant shares parking with the rest of the store and there is food variety.

This l like and love because it is an indigenous firm l believe, that has stepped up the game of improving the retail experience. The attraction for me is their knowledge of local needs. Such as the availability of local produce such as okro, raw corn (husk removed), fish monger o yes, dried roasted fish. It conveys convenience, hygiene and somewhat offers some outsourced function for the busy executive, housewife or husband. Also job opportunities for the unemployed. The staff obviously have been tutored in the importance of customer service. Much respect to the founders of this enterprise.

If we want to buy fresh snapper, grouper or sea bass ( sea bass is not a regular item though ), I would only trust on Hubmart Adeola Odeku branch. Large parking, convenient location, in-store coffee/bakery etc are advantages to come here. Any improvement area? Yes, the attendants in the wet goods area need to be faster in servicing customers.

This is a big supermarket in Victoria Island competing with major brands like the Spar, Shoprite, etc. The store has varieties of items such as drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), food (ready to eat and to-be processed), fragrances, snacks, fresh meat, fresh fish, vegetables, etc. When I visited, i bought chicken pie, red and white wine, beer, shoe polish, body spray and roll on. The atmosphere is good and the cashiers attend to customers on time. If you are visiting the place, try to park within the premises of the store and not outside because your car might be burgled (an acquaintance recently had his car burgled and his laptop was stolen). #Localguides we can only make the world a better place

Hubmart Adeola Odeku is an "okay" place but they need to do something about their bag carrying customers. You walk on at the entrance and keep your bag in holding, walk out at the exit, only to be told to walk back the 80 meters or so to the entrance where the holding area is. Why not create a holding area close to the exit at the car park. Or, switch the exit and entrance points so the journey back for your bag is easier?

I was pleasantly surprised to see a place of this calibre in VI. My only complaint is that the check out counters were hidden and the staff in true Nigerian fashion found it TOO difficult to show one where they were situated. A fellow shopper finally pointed me in the right direction. Lovely place. Please train your staff on the merits of customer service. Get rid of them if they are not prepared to imbibe this culture. My rating will show my displeasure with staff attitude which ruined my shopping experience.

Below was my review until I later realized, that they have started mixing their items with fake items something as small as cotton bud, waste bag, a very watery mayonnaise, you have to check your items well before paying. Even bought a chicken that was mixed, two staled thigh and four fresh. So sad ***************************************************** Hubmart is such a wonderful place I love their bread not sure I’ve tasted a better bread, they have good pricing compared to shoprite am talking some N250-350 different on some items. Plus setup with great consideration for children (special carts for kids, special cart for women with children) my experience was splendid.

I like the fact that we have more emerging marts or stores to break the monopoly of Shoprite, Spar and the likes. Having said that, the circulation flow or the spatial design is very poor. One need to walk a long way through the mart to exit from the building that is not really big. Also, there is a poor connection between the store and the eatery simply because they intended to centralize the security checkpoint.

I am glad to finally see a shopping centre with such high standards in Nigeria. The quality of the food is fresh, more so than the market. I really like the Hub Deli (fast food joint), its even cheaper than some local shops I know in town and also great to branch to before or after shopping. The owners have really thought out the layout of the store, the staff are really helpful, it has everything I need to cook pretty much any local or international dish. I hope to see more quality shopping centres like this in Nigeria.

On Jan 27 I bought a whole chicken from Hubmart and asked that it be cut into pieces for me by the butchers - who were clearly doing nothing at the time. When I stopped by to pick it up I noticed that the whole chicken had lost some weight. It was wrapped in the same wrappings with the same price sticker. I asked him, are you sure this is mine. He insisted that it was and that every bit of my chicken was in that wrapping though it appeared small. I agreed and paid for it. Upon getting home there were about 7- 8 tiny pieces in total. Everything else was gone. So I vented on Twitter about this rip off and the next day, Hubmart apologized stating that they usually take out the bones for the customers. I responded but do you ask the customers first before you do that. Since the chicken is priced as weighed without the bones the price should be considerably cheaper but I still paid full price. He/she on social media promised that I would be replaced with a full chicken but these were the terms and conditions of the replacement: come on a week day and at least 3-5 hours heads up before your visit. The customer was wronged and you feel that gives you room to negotiate the terms of the replacement. Once again let me emphasize that I paid full price for the chicken that was incomplete. I have chosen not to shop here again. I hope anyone reading this does the wise thing as well when shopping there. On a side note, ever notice how their price points are always a bit higher on certain products compared to other stores.

Visited this place for the first time recommended by my driver in Lagos but was disappointed. First there was house flies inside the pizza show box. Also I was over- recharged for my order as I went with four people by 1700 nigerian naira more. Was later refunded. Chicken barbeque ordered was dripping with blood after on cutting it open with table knife. I returned it and I was given another fully fried and dried chicken. Altogether did not enjoy my visit to Hubmat.
