Talk about a great hotel experience! Their staff are so well trained I was impressed. Everyone was willing and ready to help. I had the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet for two days. It’s a spread of intercontinental dishes so there’s something for everyone. I settled for fried rice, diced goat meat and plantain throughout my stay because I’m boring when it comes to food. The lunch buffet is N10,000 per person and breakfast is complimentary if you’re lodged at the hotel, otherwise N8,500 per person.

Attended two conferences here. One in a large conference room, the other in a small conference room. Conference rooms were standard and had great projection facilities. Food was fantastic. Always try the fish.

Nice hotel, customer experience is top notch. The rooms are quite nice but the space is a bit small though. No eating table, have to eat right in front of the TV which also doubles as the work table. There was just so much happening on the same table. The bathroom also, so it stays misty all day like there is no vent to get the steam out. This made the used towel stay wet. That’s why I didn’t give a 5star But that aside, I think it’s a nice hotel. The food is nice, and they always had everything on the menu, they never tell you “sorry that’s not available”. I liked that about them. Then, they have a treat for you everyday, chocolate and biscuits, I think that’s very thoughtful. Staying the weekend they give a plate of extra treats and a bottle of wine. That practically shot up the customer experience for me...and this was then. I‘m editing my review of this hotel because I only had this one good experience, subsequent stay was not as good. In fact it got worse and worse. Now, I’m not sure I would stay there any more. It’s now a run down hotel.

Very nice hotel! I’ve stayed in this hotel a few times, the rooms are small but very comfortable and I love how the carpet feels so I don’t have to use room sandals. Although, the buffet is my major reason for coming back and I do not eat breakfasts but I can’t resist it here. I’ve stayed in bigger hotels and I’m impressed with the meal choices because other hotels try to have the perfect buffet instead of having the perfect combination and options for people or foreigners with different taste, so it’s easy for any race to relate with the meal. I removed a star because there isn’t much choices for vegetarians/Vegans.

The hotel is alright. Customer service definitely has room for improvement. My room had an issue with the bathroom and I notified them prior to leaving in the morning. When I returned in the evening, I found out that no work had been done and that the evening staff had not even been notified of my complaint. I would proceed to spend a good chunk of my evening supervising maintenance work in my bathroom. Definitely not how I planned to unwind after a long day. The bar makes good margaritas if you can get hold of a waiter or bar tender. The hotel has a small gym and sauna and a small pool.

Average luxury hotel in Lagos. The croissants I had for breakfast were an insult to my taste buds. There are half a dozen people in Lagos making amazing croissants. Why not support them instead of buying frozen microwave keiser rolls shaped like croissants. Maison Keyser, La Brioche, etc. would be happy to supply you.

The staff right from the concierge, to the check-in experience are warm, professional and friendly. The experience is seamless at the restaurant which, by the way, stands out due to the wide range of local and international cuisine. However, the swimming pool is small, just enough for a dip but nothing more. Also, the air conditioning machines in the rooms are just too loud. Having said this, I would still recommend the hotel for a brief stay in Lagos.

Fantastic experience. the chef in this hotel is an angel dishing out made from heaven buffet. Fridays and Saturdays experience of life band is an icing on the cake. For those who love to meet the celebrities, forget any other hotel, southern sun is where you can frolic with them in Lagos. I gave them 4/5 because the staff needs more training on customer service, I believe they can still do better

Southern sun ikoyi is an amazing hotel for eating out . The hotel is beautiful and comes with attractive and well dressed staffs in native attires. The hotel offers an all you can eat and drink buffet option on Sundays for #25,000 per person. They serve great meals with lots of varieties. The service is amazing and it has amazing pool view. Great parking space and comfort. Great for taking pictures.
