Attracts a huge crowd especially on weekends and during the festive season. An assortment of bars and hangouts are located here. The cool ocean air and energized atmosphere make this a nice place to visit.

A Royal Beaxh should *reflects* its name, everyone should feel like Royalty when they visit but not at Elegushi. From being hounded at the gate by thugs to catering for yourself on the beach and there is not much to do here

Elegushi Beach is a great place to go unwind. I had a great time laying on a mat placed on the white sand feeling the cool breeze coming from the sea waves, watching kids and lovers play around. There are other side attractions too, like the horse rides, Merry-go-round, jingle-over etc.. If you want somewhere calm DO NOT GO there during festivities, as it can get rowdy because of different events, Birthday parties and so on. Overall, it’s fun.

Located in Lekki, Lagos Elegushi is a private beach. It is a good place for friends and family hangout. To access the beach you will be required to pay a toll and payments is also required for parking space at the entrance. There are many bars located within mostly with DJs blasting music. The bars also provide area which can be used for parties.

Elegushi beach is a great place to chill out with friends and family beside the sea. The downsides of it is that it is usually littered and things sold within are quite expensive but thankfully you can bring your own refreshments and food in. The activities of the beach are usually left to young boys who act like thugs and want to exploit you at every turning, so you have to be very smart or else you will be exploited big time and your items may get stolen.

This place isn’t being managed properly, driving through the road is extreme sports you would think a place of to cool off would be easy to get to. Don’t even get me started with the touts around the place they are one step away from ripping you off. The surrounds are dirty most times and the drugs and hard substances they sell there makes the place one area you wouldn’t want your under aged kid visiting. They sell to anyone who’s got the money. The parking spaces too are tricky if you park your car on sand you would need a tow van to get it out even when you pay for parking at the beach. I like beaches but this place isn’t just it for me.

It was okay. The waves were great. The private beach resort requires an entry fee of 1000 Naira per person. There are many horses for horse rides; Ferris wheels & their operators; bars with DJs; restaurants: vendors selling beads, necklaces and toys for kids. Although, there were too many activities clustered in same spot. Negotiate prices well before getting services/things from vendors. Sonetimes they double their prices, you have to bargain well. The beach was very dirty. They need to have Trash Bins Everywhere in all beaches. What are they doing with the money they collect? I wonder.

Rowdy as always. Took wayyyyy too long to be granted entrance. Ended up parking at the gate at there was no parking space inside the beach area. Had to walk for over 10mins with my drinks and food...... It was difficult getting somewhere to sit and every where was fully packed and the places that had space was way too expensive. Totally ridiculous Was not the best experience.

If you were looking for an actual serene beach where you can go picnicking, Elegushi Private Beach is NOT the place for you. The beach is lined up with bars whose product prices are generally extortionate. You would get a good view of the ocean and receive good doses of the ocean breeze too. You can get a pseudo club like experience at this Beach However, for team bonding activities, you could use the services of Empires sport at the beach. My team used there services and we had lot of fun.

There are lots of fun you van enjoy in this beach. Entrance fee is #1000 naira Horse ride is 1000 subjected to your negotiating power. Seat and shield are also rented out base on you negotiating power. Some offer you free seat if you are willing to patronize their wares or food from their outlets. The beach is not that too neat. There are rooms for improvement

I’ve been to this beach about a hundred times- kidding, maybe ninety! I found out it’s a nicer place at night, and you could get a seat on the beach for a token. Several shops, great music and freedom to do everything you want... security is about ninety percent- there are guards all around.

It’s a nice beach to go chill with your family in the day and your friends at night. There’s a gate charge of 1000 Naira and discounts are considered when you’re more than 4. It’s advisable to carry along with you your drinks and food, then rent a table there. An advice on horse riding- they charge 1k for to and fro horse ride, so I suggest you take it as far as you can before returning because they will try to scam you by counting any distance you take forward before turning back as to no matter how little you went.

Fun place to be with the family if you love the out doors and water. This beach does get exceptionally crowded during holidays and weekends. Free miser tip: to thoroughly enjoy yourself here, especially if you have a family or large crowd, minimise the amount of money you have to spend here by 1. Bring your own drinks (water, soft drinks, alcohol etc) 2. Bring your own food (home cooked or from your favourite restaurant, its bound to be cheaper or at least better than anything yould get on the beach without breaking your pocket) 3. Bring your mat and possibly an umbrella, table spaces are ridiculously expensive. 4. Offer to pay for entrance at the gate per group rather than per individual.

It is an okay place to hangout with friends and see the beach. There are bars and mini-bars where one could stay in and have a few drinks, you can always BYOB if you wish. However, there is usually an outrageous crowd at the beach, especially during the weekends. There is a gate fee to access the beach and the attendants at the gate are not customer-friendly. Also, the beach itself has some thugs roaming about so you have to be security conscious as they are on the prowl to take advantage of people.

The Elegushi is a private beach owned by the Elegushi Royal Family. The entrance fee is #1000 naira (in Nigeria currency). You could get involved in a lot of fun activities, games, horse riding and lots more. Food and drinks are sold at the beach houses the only draw back is that they are quite expensive. Things are sold for as much as 3 times the actual price. In all it was a fun place with lots of music and dancing. I will definitely visit again.

It has several huts where group can sit if they are ready to patronise what they sell. However, things are sold at premium price, so you may want to come with everything you may need. This use to be one of my favorite beach, but this days it become so crowded with scums and what yoruba call omonile, one cant come here and have a nice time anymore, everybody selling here want to take the little money you have, it either you ask to pay for seating or ask to pay extra for buying suya, because the person asking to go get suya for you will end up buying for 200 naira from ma suya but end up selling it back to you for a 1000 naira, it so annoying.

It is one of the best beach to chill. While entering you have to pay 1000Naira as entrance fee. There are many sea view restaurants, lounges, bar etc. There will be boys on the way to take you inside the restaurants. Be careful choosing the restaurant. The price of food and liquor is comparitively higher. If you can carry your eating and drinking stuffs it would be better. During weekends it is crowded. You can have horse rides here. Most of the visitors are Nigerian and it seems quite safe place for expats as well.

I arrived the beach approximately 1:30pm and we had to pay 1000 Naira per head for entry and an extra 500 Naira for parking which we did not get a receipt for. There weren’t a lot of activities, I was really looking forward to having a game of volley ball with my mates but i couldn’t find any net around. The beach was also a bit dirty with no visible bin around to encourage people to dispose their rubbish well. So I could say the 1000 per head wasn’t worth it. Anyways the plus side was that we were able to bring in our drinks and food so we basically made the place fun for ourselves. The horse ride I really anticipated was priced at 2000 Naira for a trip not even up to 100m or 500 Naira to take a picture with the horse. Overall I had fun not cos of the facilities available but because of the people I went with. I was a bit disappointed I would say. One thing I can give a thumbs up to is that the ocean view was fantastic.

Elegushi Royal Beach could be an acceptable alternative to Bar Beach before it was transformed into Eko Tourist attraction. Elegushi Royal Beach is filled with fun such as you can get from club houses and also the fun of playing on the Sandy soil of the sea-shore. However, it does not have that aesthetic decorations of natural beach with coconut trees where lovers could cosy up to connect with nature.

I didn’t see any white sand when I got here. If you’re looking for white sand, this is NOT the beach. If you also plan of having a “dip” in the ocean, this is also NOT the right beach, as there’s a lot of debris along the “Elegushi private beach shoreline waters”. The cleaner and clearer waters are further away. However, if you don’t need white sand and a dip, this might just be the best beach for you. The night life at Eleguishi is second to none in Lagos especially on Sundays! Everything else you’ll require from a public fee paying beach is very much available on offer here especially with regards to ambience and hospitality. Just remember to hold enough cash which you’ll need for entrance, parking, and enjoyment!

You should wear sandal or flip-flops to avoid having sand in your shoes while also protecting your feet from the heat. Elegushi Beach is a great place to relax but also a great place to party. The barbeque scene also wakes up at night. You’ll get that perfect blend of beer and suya.

But, overtime, due to increase in land acquisition and migration to places around the beach, one of the most sought after beach began to experience gradual decline from usual beauty. The Lagos State government is, however, making efforts to restoring the beach back to its former glories. Despite these setbacks, the beach is still home to a several folks. One of the most outstanding feature of the beach is the security that has been put in place. Life guards and security operatives (the police) are always on standby. This is one reason why the beach is home to a lot of folks.

This is actually the stupidest beach i have seen in the world. The second you enter the beach you are being assualted for numerous things from numerous guys. The beach bar i went to had beers for 1500 naira. Plus a 3000 naira table charge and a 3000 naira serive fee. Avoid this place. It is just a giant scam. It’s quite a good place to go when you need to clear your head. But everything there has been commercialized and unreasonably expensive. You have touts waiting at the entrance to collect access fee which doesn’t make sense. The last time I was there i felt cheated. Some guys begged us to patronize their hut. At the end they bring an enormous bill - charge you for sitting, high cost for drinks and edible stuff. Things there are overly expensive and trust me, anyone that approaches you has the intention of swindling you. I can’t tell it enough. Just be smart

Elegushi Beach is a private beach located at Lekki, Lagos state, South west of Nigeria.The beach is owned by the Elegushi royal family in Lekki, Lagos state. The hot, sandy, beautiful oasis located at Ikate Elegushi bus stop is a 2km drive from Lekki/Epe Expressway. Though it is not the cleanest of beaches in Lagos, it remains one of the most patronized beaches. Elegushi offers a mix of music, food, beautiful scenery of water. It is a must visit place for any tourist for its white sand beach ripping waves that lap the shoreline. It provides the ultimate relaxation for any. The sea in Lagos isn’t the clear blue sea you see in movies or in holiday itineraries of other parts of the world, but they sure do provide the ultimate ocean experience that anyone’s nerves will twitch to have. Elegushi beach is a delight to fun-seekers, as it offers a variety of activities, especially during festive periods. However, with the Elegushi beach, one is bound to have fun no matter the size of the pocket. Entry to the beach is N1, 000 per person and N200 for the car park. So, making a decision on how much to spend at the beach is relative as it is basically hinged on how long one would be staying, preferences and intentions. Lined from one end to the other with restaurants, and tuck shops amongst others with no restrictions, one is allowed to come with personal mat, food, drinks, games and whatever will help catch fun. However, most of the clubs and restaurants do not allow external drinks or food and one can only be allowed to sit in their space while patronising them. Most of the clubs have bouncers that prevent people who attempt to force their way in or carry their food along. Morning hours are the only times during the festive season when one can to get a bit of serenity while at the beach as most people prefer to visit in the late afternoons and night. Regular visitors to the beach who understand the traffic routine use the morning hours to relax in the sand or on a lounge chair and watch the sun rise. Mostly read, write, “daydream” or just sip a cool cocktail by the waterside, while others jog along the sea shore or to keep an appointment with fitness activity.

If you want a bit of privacy and calm environment, you might have to go further into ajah, epe area. Piece of advice - get your drinks from shoprite and only pay for your seating. You can also try to negotiate the gate fee if you are more than three.
