They do not sell variety of snacks and food. Their little zoo is not given attention, just crocodile, tortoise, baboon and guinea fowls are available. But I loved the coolness and spacious environment.

relaxing place bit down but ok for a gate away. please note that the food is under anything acceptable i advise you to bring yours. bar it s fine but very limited choice. activity music , water pedal boat, pool, 4 wheels bicycle. some other games. no wifi and as soon as you enter the large compound the phone connection get bad. nice water front.

High points: Food taste was good though with few varieties, Lagoon front, ambience, good customer service. Low points: Facilities are not in top shape including rooms in terms of maintenance and cleanliness. The mini zoo has about 8 animals, the museum was fairly equipped. Overall, I think the resort stands a good chance to be better. The roads are being rehabilitated.

It is a far cry from what i expected of the resort. Little has been done to improve the infrastructure since i last came here about 25 years ago. The front desk staff were polite but clueless on a lot of issues. Google maps got the location wrong. The road to the resort is currently under repairs, therefore the journey was nothing short of horrible. There was no WiFi in the resort. Only a handful of guests. Only a few of the spots in the resort were operational. Ensure you come here fully equipped with your all your toiletries like (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc), water and snacks or else you may have to drive about 5km to get some. These items are not sold in or around the resort which is in the middle of nowhere. I think the children and grand children of the founder do not share his dream and have let the place go moribund. On the good side, the place can easily be revamped if managers take it more seriously. The ambiance is still soothing and has been greatly underutilized.

One of the best honeymoon destinations. Delicious meals, in house cinema, mini zoo, gym and a lot of activities to make your stay enjoyable. The place has a good water body for boat rides. Good sea view. You can actually propose here and also have a enjoyable romantic date. It has good volley ball court. A lot of sand dunes. Some good art work. However the internet connectivity here can be a bit poor. Also mobile network. Maybe because it is in a suburb. The road to this place is not so good. Be ready for some ruggedness

Heavenly, in just one word! The owner of this beautiful beach resort must have conceptualized the place as bridge between the urban and the rural bringing closest to man in the most artistic way. Or you can sit at one of their bars.There is accommodation where you can stay.The prices are reasonable and there is a lot of history there. The resort is well located for people with love for sea views. There are different secluded areas where one can relax and cool of. Nice apartment and clean environment with 24 hours power supply. However, the major challenge is food. The food was not good enough and extremely expensive in terms of quality and quantity. The kitchen staff was not friendly at all except for one out of like four, they serve you as if you are a beggar. We had to cut short our stay because of that. Aside from food, every other thing were ok.

Day 2 at Whispering Palms and its been great. Nice scenery, nice meals but pricy. It is a well managed facility when considering it was built in 1982. My only concern is the very bad state of the road leading here. Hopefully, construction works on them will be accelerated.

The road getting here is a big mess. In fact, the road to Badagary is dangerous and not really worth the effort. My car was hit. A trunk turned over. We were surrounded at one point by a lot of motorcycles and I felt unsafe and a road and travel warrior. We went over several dips and dangerous turns. The road to Whispering Palms is long with lots of crazy twists and turns and poor signage. You have to use your GPS. I will say that after our disastrous visit to the Badagary Slave musuem, which is not really a museum, this was an oasis. The bathrooms were clean, the service was ok. Nigeria is not known for good service. However, the sheer beauty of the water and nature within the compound is undeniably beautiful. Our visit to Whispering Palms salvaged what could have been a horrible day. For that, I am grateful.

Whispering Palm beach resort is a serene and quite resort with lovely activities and hotel accommodation. It is an ideal vacation spot, faraway from all the stress and noise in Lagos. Coconut water and coconut is always readily available because the resort is generously surrounded by coconut trees. They serve both continental and local foods with large varieties of seafoods. Bad side, the resort is not well maintained, bad connecting roads and most of the boats are not functional again.

Whispering Palms is a resort. It has a lot of fantastic facilities such as gym, playground, accommodation, football field and other sports courts such as Volleyball, badminton and table tennis. The serve very good food especially snacks. There is also coconuts and fish and chips. It is located by the lagoon which provides very good sight for visitors. For arts lovers, there are several pieces of arts to be admired around. The environment is serene with cool music at the bar to match while you catch a drink. Because of the location, visitors will do well to carry cookies, drugs and other essentials because those things are not sold around. The food is a bit expensive as per local standards. So visitors low on budget may wish to carry lots of cookies. The telecommunication networks hat work here are MTN and Airtel and Smile. Etisalat does not work here. The hotel has no Wi-Fi. Visitors may wish to bring alternative sources. The place is humid and sweaters or cardigans are not necessary. The road from Lagos airport to Whispering Palms is very rough and long. It takes between 3 to 4 hours on a busy day. But visitors may choose to come by water which takes around 45 minutes from Mile 2.

A cool resort centre located in Badagry. It has lots of historic structures and its a really serene place for a getaway. They have a mini zoo, a lagoon and some cool views. Very affordable. Cool for family timeouts, tho the exterior could be better. The rooms are big and spacious. The Restaurant food is really good too. There are snacks..a cool bar, good barbecue, and a clean pool. Overall a good experience.

It was such a hassle checking in and out of the “resort”. The pillows are lumpy, there is no beach, the pool is a mess. Utterly underwhelming place. The only good thing was the front desk person was polite and welcoming.

Its living in PAST glory. The intercoms aint working, it takes up to an hour for the gens to come on, most tv stations aint working with old televisions not clear (they say the cables are bad). Some ACs are not functioning well, we had to room twice. In general, very poor service. ITS A TRAP

This place is very good getaway spot, tucked around the Badsey Lagoon. Take a boat trip to the Resorts private beach. Food tasty but expensive and the place can be cleaner than what is. I saw cockroach in my room and also at the reception. Needs more cleaning. Make sure you make payment at the hotel on arrival, and deppsit less than you plan to spend. When i was checking out i haf a refund of about 14K and it took the 2months to refund, they kept claiming that they dont refund money. Be smart to save yourself headache. Also note that security will not allow you to go out of the resort without clearance from the front desk.
