No better place in Lagos to get a variety of fish and other seafood such as shrimps, crabs etc. at affordable prices. Game animal such as antelope, grass cutter, porcupine, deer, can be bought fresh and cleaned, seasoned and dried. Reptiles such as alligator, boa snakes etc. are also on offer for sale. Overall a pleasant weekend shopping, tourism and leisure experience. Best time to get there is about 9am if you intend to buy game animal that you want seasoned and dried ready to go.

They also sell bush-meats ( antelopes, grass cutters) and often monkey & crocodiles. I felt sad seeing endangered animals like Pangolins for sale in this market. The market needs major facelift soon. Poor & fragile Walkways, dirts etc destroying image of the market.

Things are relatively cheap here compare to Lekki. This is especially the case with natural foods. For instance, i bought snails of 1800 naira which are the exact equivalent of the snails I used to buy with 5000 naira in Lekki. Fruits are also very cheap here. Why not try to shop from this market one of these days to confirm!
