This is the National Museum located in the very heart of Calabar Municipality in Cross River State of Nigeria. It is just a stone throw from the U J Esuene Stadium. In this museum, you will see a lot of things used during the Colonial government, the advent of slave trade, items used as means of trade and a lot of other things to really arrest your attention. It is indeed a nice place to visit with the family.

My visit to the museum was in the month of August 2015. I learnt a lot about the history of slave trade in Nigeria, as well as the early exported goods from Calabar sea port. The historic and archaeological artifacts are well preserved for future generations to learn about our pass.
