P

-
R
Rachy DadaIts just there not as fun as it use to be. They sell bole(roasted plantain) and fish, they sell suya, they have a bar plus they also sell coconut, I mixed mine with two satchel of best and it was great. The place is quiet if you are looking for a serene environment. Gate fee is N100 & there is boat ride option of N1500 per person.
-
C
Chioma NnagboMarina resort is really a beautiful place to visit. The river is inviting, with different Spots for entertainment. The boat ride was super with Well trained sailors. I think bigger boats should be used for those travelling and going for boat ride who has phobia for water.
-

Precious AbubakarIf the goal is to find somewhere cool and relaxing to chill, perhaps indulge in a boat ride, or maybe play a game or two, then look no further. The slave trade museum is relatively interesting, and the cinema is now functional.

N
Norah IwaraThe marina resort is a beautiful place and has the only cinema in Calabar so the traffic to the place should be overwhelming but the toll at the gate is raised on whims without any corroborations from the businesses run in there. I could have given it more stars but the menace at the gate needs to be Checked. My recommendations, a toll per car is reasonable not per individuals in a car, and the toll should be per day not per entry into the resort. 2 Cost of goods and services in the resort should be streamlined as people over price their goods. Thank you

-
O
osamagbe asemotaThis is a fantastic place to sit out alone or in a group. There is outdoor seating by the water and indoor bars here too. You can hold party receptions and even wedding events here. It also boasts of a cinema which is out of service at the time of this review (March 3rd). Known for coconut water straight from the fruit, barbecued fish and chicken and other kinds of bar meals. You can also take your own drinks along, read a book by the water or just get lost in thought. It does have a slight smell though
-

Beautiful sight seeing, the boat ride is supercool, bar services are welcoming and the roasted fish is yummy! They is also a mini cinema, rest room is not so clean but customer service is friendly. -
A
Adeyinka OdumadeMarina Resort Calabar is a relaxation center where people come for picnic, sight seeing, family get together and catch fun. It is an interesting place to be as it harbours the slave museum that is rich in quality historical events. A token amount is charged at the entrance before you could get access to the resort and a token amount is also paid before you could be allowed into the slave museum. The tour guide in the museum is sound, jovial, receptive and versatile in history of the slave trade era. Cameras are not allowed within the slave muse as it is against the rules of the management. Calls are not also allowed while you are touring the slave museum. There are lots of rich facts about the Nigerian culture within the museum covering almost the six geo-political zones of the country. There is also a boat trip within the resort that takes tourists to the Twin Island just some miles away from the resort to catch fun and relax too. Gift items of Africa origin are also readily available in the resort for those who might be interested in buying stuffs for their loved ones. You can also eat in at the resort as foods are always available. The greenish nature of the resort makes more inviting as there are spots where tourists can snap their holiday pictures.

Jonathan UgbalBeautiful riverside scene with superb architect and content. A cinema, slave museum, relaxation place modeled after the famous Tortuga island, anchor point, kids playground, hotel, halls and a seaside sit-out makes you want to visit this place a lot
-
D
Diusor OdiakosaA visit to Calabar is never complete without visiting Marina Resort. You can learn about slave history at the museum, take a boat ride to twins island or simply have a drink and enjoy the lovely waves.
-
N
Najite UkiriGreat views, boat ride, walk around, etc...careful not to fall into the water at night time. Drinks at the bar? close as early as 7pm. Most activities at the resort revolve around Christmas and new year events. The cinema has returned with a new outfit but not at full performance yet. One more thing... there is a charge per person at the gate costing about N100-N200 per day.
-

Rosemary Chinedum ErugoCalabar! Calabar! Marina Resort is a rare park where the word "Relaxation" resonates. It is located in the by the bayside/beach area of Calabar River. It has well pla ned si touts where you can sit and watch the water sides come and go. It has a cinema : GUS, where you can see all the latest cinema movies. The air is always cool here. It has a children play area with a merry go round. It has a restaurant, bar and a club. You can also go for boat rides here. Some people particularly enjoy the boat ride trip to the "twins island", which is thought to be the place where Mary Slessor seeked sanctuary for twins back when twins birth was seen as a taboo in the Efik kigdom and in Nigeria.

I
Ibn AbdurRahmanNice resort with lots of spots to hang out. Check out the slave trade museum which provide history about trans-atlantic slave trade. There is a cinema - filmhouse I think it is called. A gaming centre with a number of table games: ping-pong, snooker, video games, chess amidst blaring music. Another spot for quick food - peppered soup and drinks. You can also take a boat ride to the twins-island from here.
-
A
Atat CharlesGreat and Fun event if you want to take nice pictures. As at December 2018 Gate fee was N500 against the normal price of N200 a boat ride is N1500 to Tortugal Island. While you relax with Sharwama at Mgose Cinema for 1000

manifest OniOur honeymoon crib, some years back! When I recently visited the resort, I discovered a few newly added features like... Boat ride, cinema, games for kids, etc.. One thing I missed on my recent visit was the conspicuously missing chalet. If the chalet experience could be reintegrated into the resort again, we would be there to celebrate our 10th year anniversary next year. Awesome place regardless!
