It’s a cool place, but I kept having problems with the receptionists. I don’t think they really know their jobs. I spent three night here and had to switch to two rooms, because most of their facilities are old and scrappy. Plus the poor attention the receptionist gave us. Even had another issue paying, because the POS was down, had to go through the long process of transferring . Another thing is the noise. Their rooms don’t have these sound proof doors. So i kept feeling like there was some people talking at my door. Anyways I like their interior artistic tastes.

I came for a seminar here.it has a really large reception.The training hall was quite spacious and was able to take 10 big tables that could take about 8-10 chairs conveniently.The hall was really chilly even though I was really covered up in thick clothing.The projectors worked effectively and the rest rooms were functional.The hall can take more tables depending on how the arrangement is being done.i did not have the time to check the rooms and other facilities so I give them a 3star for this .

They had the most terrible, arrogant front desk staff that would eventually run down the hotel. Toiletries were not placed in a suite which is on heard of. Just 1 towel was kept in a suite even after i asked for an extra one. Their inter com didnt work all through my stay and they had no wi fi. It wasnt a pleasant experience but i must commend the cleaners cos the environment and room was clean.

Very neat decent sized rooms with constant power supply. I love that they have different types of wall sockets so i dnt need adapter to charge my phone. Bed is big enough in a deluxe room a comfortable chair and reading table. The bathroom is lovely, nice marble finishing there and water closet. Shower is different, there is a blow dryer in there. Working lift. Huge parking, great location. Overall, great hotel.

DMatel Gold is gradually drifting downwards in terms of service delivery if steps are not taken strategically and proactively to remedy it. Simply experience; in my last two visits to the hotel I noticed alot of arguments between the receptionist and customers. Secondly, the facilities are deteriorating without adequate maintenance (water provision, A/C etc.) Finally, what are 3 receptionists doing attending to a customer when others are waiting. Better to watch and handle early.

Dmatel is a very good basic budget hotel that gives you similar experience compared to its competitors. It is stationed in the heart of Phc city and is just 5 mins away from popular hangout spots in GRA. Reception is very welcoming. Pool looks dirty so consider other options if you plan to swim. Food is just basic but the rooms give you value for money. If you are on a budget but desire the experience of a good room space to relax, try it out. Good Rooms are available from N14,000(subject to review).
