The stadium is located in the heart of the city Port Harcourt and situated between the Elekahia Housing Estate in the Elekahia Community of Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State. It is less than a kilometer from Shell Petroleum Development Company in Port Harcourt It is a major outlet for over 30 fitness teams and on Saturdays plays host to over 1,000 fitness buffs. It is home play ground for the Rivers State Government team in the Nigeria professional league called RIVERS UNITED... Rivers United formed in 2016 is an amalgam of Sharks fc and Dolpins Fc both teams formed over three decades ago.
