This is the only airport in Plateau state, north central Nigeria, it was recently renamed to Yakubu Gowon Airport. In recent times it has undergone series of renovations with the construction of banner car park for travellers. Although it is not a major commercial airport but it handles an average of 5-15 flights per day.

Yakubu Gowon airport Jos is the only airport in the state that serves travellers in and out of Jos. The airport is pretty under renovation as there is a lot of improvement that needs to be done. Collection of baggage here was without any stress as the staff here eagerly awaits the arrival of plane and they are ready to work.

There was a lot of delay and as of the time of this review, everything is done manually but the staff assured that it is due to upgrades. I hope the airport will be fully developed before my next visit. Other than the delays, the staff is polite and willing to help out with anything you need.
