Oh, this is one lovely hotel I stayed while in Ibadan. The environment is serene, beautiful. Great packing space. The room I stayed, which was the Royal Suite, was superb. Words fail me to explain. But lemme try. It is actually worth the money. It has a living room decorated with beautiful portraits and a side dinning. While the room is damn so beautiful, wow. Decorated with beautiful portrait too. The living room has a Tv and A.C, while the Room also have the Tv and A.C. You get free breakfast from 7:30am at the restaurant. I really really looooove this place.

I visited the Carlton Gate Hotel Ibadan for the first time in May 2015. And it was arguably the best hotel in Ibadan at the time. It was always clean and properly managed. The property had 40 rooms and a Presidential Suite of 5 rooms. The Presidential Suite once housed the current head of state during his first Presidential Campaign in Ibadan, Nigeria. The hotel has seen his share of celebrities who were lodged here during their various visits to Ibadan. I then was opportuned to do my Industrial Training here. I was able to get complimentary rooms during late nights here as one of the managers. The space now could use a pick me up at this time. I hope the current management does beautiful work.

The beautiful hotel has become very poorly managed with heavy noise from the rooms. Water not flowing in the bathroom. Had to be moved into another room at 3am! Woke up in the morning and couldn’t take a bath till 9:20am as the taps were not running. The balconies are very dirty and the staff poorly trained. Very unpalatable experience on 16th to 17th August 2019.

A nice accommodation, I will give it a comfortable 4 star but the size is a limitation and the availability options are limited. They are currently expanding to improve on their options. They have budget standard accommodation as well as classic presidential suites.

Wonderful customer service, but the hotel need to be properly managed, cobwebs, not to clean toilets, took a while to get an average room . I gave 3 stars cos the staff tried to fix everything with a smile . We had dinner in the restaurant, it was affordable and tasty .
