This Place is historic, being one of the foremost investments made with money accrued from selling of farm product in Nigeria, most especially cocoa seed. The first elevator in southwest is located in this building to help hasten transit between floors being a 21 storeyed building. Located in this building are various corporate government and private organization such as stock broking firms, travel agent, furniture stores and many more. One exciting thing about the atmosphere surrounding this building is the cool breeze that blows across it all the time.

The for most skyscraper in Nigeria, built by the then Western Government under the leadership of Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo from the proceeds of Cocoa sales which the region was known to be prominent in as of then. The building stands as a legacy of the then western government and is currently being managed by the Odua Investment Company, a Company owned jointly by the present Six states of the western region of Nigeria. The building however needs a lot of facelift and maintenance work to bring it to the modern standard. The building currently houses a number of corporate offices and radio stations who use it as their corporate head office. In my view, the building could be put to more better use and become an iconic land mark if properly maintained by the government.

This is the first sky scraper in Nigeria with 23 floors. The income made from cocoa during the Awolowo led regime of the defunct western region was used to build it as we heard. The cocoa mall which is the house to the first Shoprite in Ibadan is just by the side. The famous koko dome is also by the other side. It also has an ample parking space for visitors, though you will be charged 100 per hour for parking.
