The hostel was named ETF hostel because it was sponsored by the Educational Trust Fund (ETF) when it was about to be constructed. The ETF hostel is a male hostel and also an extension of Awolowo hostel, with a maximum capacity of 560 legal occupants (students). The hostel is also a quiet and disciplined hostel just like the other hostels; the visitation time is also 4pm -10pm on working days (Monday – Friday) and 10am – 10pm on weekends (Saturday – Sunday).
