Lovely hotel since their recent upgrade last year. The room rates are quite competitive and if you are one for space you will love it here as they are dominantly spacious classic rooms. Well kept swimming pool also. Arguably the largest hotel in Akure. Staff also much better and clearly more professional management are on ground now. Kudos

In the last 6years Royalbirds has always been my hotel. However, I was greatly disappointed with my crew yesterday, on arrival, I requested that a porter should assist with our luggage yesterday but my request was not attended to so a colleague of mine decided to use the luggage cart. First usage of the cart by my colleague was helpful and the second time, no help was offered. The moment my colleague pushed the cart through the entrance, the porter from afar started yelling at us that we’ve damaged the electronic door. To avoid further embarrassment (when the accusation was wrong) as the team lead, I apologized to the porter but he wasn’t ready to listen. He kept yelling and insisted that we’ve damaged the door at about 10pm yesterday. I’m not pleased with the hotel management. Ideally, were we supposed to use the cart ourselves?
