The interchange is locate at Sagamu along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. When you are coming in from the Ibadan axis of the road, on getting to the interchange, the bend on your right will take you to Abeokuta, Siun, Ajua and Owode town. On your left side of the interchange, it leads to Sagamu, Ijebu-Ode and its environs, more so, its the main road people traveling to the eastern and southern part of the country plies. The driving straight from Ibadan take you to Lagos but you will meet other towns such as: Mowe, Ibafo, Redemption camp, Prayer city and Magoro town.

Shagamu interchange is a unique landmark area. Over the years, its been a good help for travelers especially private vehicle owners like me, knowing they are approaching Lagos, can make a detour to Abeokuta, Ogun state or just stop, stretch their feet and take a rest. Several traders with local mortars and pestle, roasted bush meat, roasted maize or other unique snack items are sold around the area.
