If you reside on the Ikorodu axis, this is your best bet for transport to the Island. You only have to spend maximum of 30 minutes as against a traffic congested Ikorodu road that would take about 3 hours of your day. Though, it currently costs N1,000.00 to CMS and Ebute Ero. You are assured of a jolly ride and comfort.

The boat cruise is the fastest mode of transportation from Ikorodu to Lagos Island. The Ikorodu terminal house many company/operators of the ferry service. The land service at the terminal is good but can be improved on. Aside the Lagos State run terminal there are some other private terminal. There Lagos State terminal is neat and with well arranged seats for passengers. In my opinion Seacoach services is better organised.

This is a public facility building with neat environment and functional and decent conveniences. The terminal is relatively new and ferry services are reliable. There is ample parking space and adequate security for vehicles. I would recommend the ferry services for those who wish to beat the hectic traffic accessing the Island via land routes. The operators and regulator are always harping on safety which is a plus for the service.
