Mowe main market is expanding. The market accessible government hospital, Garden Restaurant. the road network to the market is under construction. You get virtually all you need at mowe market. After normal market days, there is another every 9th market days where you get all you need at better quality and price. People from owode, ofada, ibafo, redeem, shagam do come to mowe market both to sell and to buy. But, Motor parking space has been a challenge, which the government of ogun state should look to.

The market is a well patronized market but the road, when I visited was nothing to write about. It rained the day I visited. Log of waters are in the many potholes on the road. My shoes were stained beyond recognition. The Bike riders (okada) were reckless in riding despite the poor condition of the road. As a matter of fact, physical challenged people will not find it easy to navigate around the market. The market was too unorganized for my liking. Hardly you locate where some particular commodities are been sold. Everywhere was just rowdy. There commodity are relatively expensive compare to their neigbohood. There was no parking space of whatever kind. Buyers and sellers parked the cars beside the tiny and congested road. This illegal parking habit is one of the reasons why the road that lead to Ofada from Mowe is synonymous to traffic. At some point, people will have to park their cars miles away from the market because they could no longer find space to park. Talking to some of the user of the market, I was told that the government has plans to relocate the market to a new location. However, the people in charge are yet to get the require political will to do that. I hope something will be done to the market to make buying and selling easy.

Mowe market is a very busy place where you can get domestic and perishable goods. There also shops that sell electronics and other households appliances. There are also SIM cards purchase and registration points. The market also houses car park, mostly those going to Obafemi Owode Local Government office, at Owode. The market is extremely busy in the money and in the evening as workers storm the place for pick ups and purchases. Thus, the market is rough mostly when it rains due to the bad interconnected pathway.

Mowe is a fast growing town that is soaking in the lpopulation spillage from Lagos, the commercial capital of Nigeria. Its proximity to Lagos and the easy access made possible by the strategic Lagos-Ibadan Expressway makes Mowe a preferred place of residence for those who are escaping the hustling and bustling enclave that Lagos Metropolis portends.

Rowdy place. Typical Nigerian unplanned open market. Food items are in abundance. It comes alive in the evenings coupled with the rush hour traffic. People living in interior Mowe doing their shopping on the way back from work. Also has a number of electronics shops selling home appliances.
