Using the train is very safe and comfortable. But I know that they have noticed that the number of people who are using it as a means of transportation have tripled. They should increase the number of coaches to accommodate more people. And also it would be idea to put streetlights on the roads that lead to the train station. At least let them see where we are driving to.

This is the 2nd train station in Abuja coming from Kaduna about 150km away to the north. Those going to the airport and southern parts of Abuja city can disembark here, although it is a bit far from the main city.

Idu station is the best terminal on the Abuja-Kaduna rail line. The order is good and you can be assured of getting tickets once you arrive on time. There is little to no hoarding of tickets as is prevalent at the Rigasa terminal in Kaduna. The service attendants are also polite. Good service all round.

It is very far from the city. Picking up someone at night can be dangerous. The road is curvy and hilly. Early arrival doesnt guarantee you travelling tickets as tickets are sold at the point of boarding the train.
