Really comfortable railway station, well built and well maintained. Separate ticketing area, clean waiting area, staff are well behaved. The trains themselves typically leave right on time and the trains are clean. Definitely recommend for a stress free travel

Located outskirts of town, making it expensive and hard to get to. This is bad because train stations should run right through the heart of the city. Staff are for the most part polite and courteous. Ticketing staff are corrupt and hoard tickets for the highest bidders during rush hours of weekends. Departures are on schedule with no delays. Train coaches are neat. However, I observed that there are no dustbins attached to seat rows. VIP/First Class is worth the additional money, mostly because of the sitting arrangement with a table at the middle. Trains not as fast as one expects but not bad either. Toilets are clean.

Kudos to our transport ministry for this. An alternative transportation means outside our usual road transport. The bookings are very easy and the environment is neat and safe... With enough security personnel. You can travel with heavy luggage just that it would be weighed and you would be billed accordingly. Please do endeavor to try train travelling on your next trip. Nice new station. Clean trains. Disappointingly no where near the centre of Abuja, approx 30mins drive from Abuja commercial centre. Train tickets where being sold, even though the ticket office was closed!! Need to arrive a few hours before the train leaves to buy tickets. Complete and utter mayhem occurred when the ticket office finally opened, only God knows how no one was injured during the mass struggle. Best to stand back until the struggle calms down. No organisation, lack of structure, standing only tickets being sold. We are making progress, but very very slowly!!

The station should be for conveying goods from the Idu industrial zone to other part of the City and Neighboring states. There is 60 % chances you’d miss your train when using the Idu station

One of the best train station in Nigeria. Its located in Abuja some few miles away from city. They have good service delivery and keep to the time. The most common challenges is elevators are shutting down for passengers usage. People are force to follow one very long stairs case for boarding and departure.

New, clean and beautiful. It is missing functional shops and eateries for travelers and commuters for now. The metro rail connects to the town center and airport, although not always in sync with the trains departure and arrival times. The train cargo unit is very affordable at 7.50 Naira per kilogram between Abuja and Kaduna.

I used the train from Abuja to Rigasa for the 1st time today. Got the Business class ticket for N1,500 seats are fine. Overhead TV screen is available and nice movies aired. The overhead storage though is too high for people not too tall. Also, bags may slip from hold if it is not properly placed as nothing secures bags and may cause injuries to passengers. Overall it was a smooth ride.
