Gidan Kwano has extreme weather conditions, poor roads, no wind breakers in other words you can only find few trees around, farming is their major occupation and they produce yam as their major farm produce, very few number of them are educated

GK is developing at a very fast pace. There are more students off campus lodges here. It is quite safe for students with friendly villagers. The closest off campus accommodation apart from the hostel are located here. More tankers ply the major Minna - Bida road nowadays though
