DPR has limited parking space as ordinary visitors are not allowed to park in the compound but along the road. Be sure to hold some funds to pay for the parking slot by the side of the road. Reception at DPR is good.

Located in central VI, Lagos, DPR institution has the statutory responsibility of ensuring compliance to petroleum laws, regulations and guidelines in the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria. The discharge of these responsibilities involves monitoring of operations at drilling sites, producing wells, production platforms and flowstations, crude oil export terminals, refineries, storage depots, pump stations, retail outlets, any other locations where petroleum is either stored or sold, and all pipelines carrying crude oil, natural gas and petroleum products.

Some months back i traveled to Ekiti state, Ado Ekiti to be precise. I bought fuel at the rate of #130/liter. Thus, i saw a publication on the Guardian paper of 19th August 2015, from the DPR serving a warning to all marketers of petroleum products. My observation however is the lack of a medium by which the populace can relate or communicate with the DPR in order to curb to incessant activities of these saboteurs. Give the public a phone number, it will make your job easy in monitoring the issue of over pricing and sharp practices in the sector.
