abiodun oLocated in central VI, Lagos, DPR institution has the statutory responsibility of ensuring compliance to petroleum laws, regulations and guidelines in the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria. The discharge of these responsibilities involves monitoring of operations at drilling sites, producing wells, production platforms and flowstations, crude oil export terminals, refineries, storage depots, pump stations, retail outlets, any other locations where petroleum is either stored or sold, and all pipelines carrying crude oil, natural gas and petroleum products.

Emeka UlorDPR is a Federal Government Agency responsible for the exploration and importation of petroleum products into the country. It is also responsible for allocation of licenses to filling stations. DPR monitors and evaluate petroleum retailers across Nigeria, ensuring that quantity, quality and prices meet standards. The Lagos Office is situated on Kofo Abayomi in Victoria Island. The multi-storey building has various offices and limited Car park. It was recently renovated giving it a good outlook. Clean restrooms are opened to visitors. ♿wheelchair parking is allowed, ♿ entry not available.

Sesan AyeniThis is suppose to be the "policeman" of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. No matter the area you in: upstream, midstream or downstream, you will have a lot to do with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR). The cream of what it does is the oil block auctions including the various licenses and permits it necessarily must issue if you want to play any role in the petroleum industry.

Love OyeSome months back i traveled to Ekiti state, Ado Ekiti to be precise. I bought fuel at the rate of #130/liter. Thus, i saw a publication on the Guardian paper of 19th August 2015, from the DPR serving a warning to all marketers of petroleum products. My observation however is the lack of a medium by which the populace can relate or communicate with the DPR in order to curb to incessant activities of these saboteurs. Give the public a phone number, it will make your job easy in monitoring the issue of over pricing and sharp practices in the sector.
