JS Tarka foundation is one of the biggest and most popular event centers in Makurdi back then, though it is still been used even though outdated.

Location presents lovely sit out environment and scenery, plays host to many outdoor events like wedding receptions, festivals, shows etc. Is a historical icon and bears the name of a national/historical icon J. S. Tarkar. Though abandoned for a while, it is currently undergoing renovations, after which lodging,, lounge, club etc would be available.
