Jabi recreation park is a wonderful place to hangout or have picnic. On Saturdays residents around usually meet at the park to carryout some form of aerobics. The park is been run by Abuja recreation park and so if you have an event and need to use a sound system you have need to seek permission first from the authorities The park is calm and peaceful but at evenings hours you have some hoodlum around the park trying to steal anything lying carelessly around. On the other side of the park is jabi mall and close to the park is Jabi boat club. You can visit the park on a Saturday or Sunday and u will enjoy the company of others who also come around.

Just a fairly green area you can go with friends to take walks, play ping-pong, tennis, run, etc. I took the boat ride.. Really risky and i do not recommend it. No safety gears, the boat stopped twice right in the middle of the lake. Do not board unless you have your personal gear as anything can happen and you may drown... And, there is no shelter from rain. So if you do not have a car, do not go during rainy season.

My 4 Star rating is based on my minds eyes perception of how beautiful the park could have been if the facilities were properly maintained. However, The park has beautiful walkways and paths overlooking the Jabi lake. Good for taking a walk or stroll and could have offered better views if given a little attention by the authorities. Saturday morning is the busiest and probably the best day to go for exercises. There are so many people doing so many things and you can be inspired by watching others. You can also join any of the fitness clubs there depending on your sports interest. Sports wears, shoes and some exercise equipment are sold on Saturdays too. Visit the park and have fun.

Jabi recreation park is a wonderful place to hangout or have picnic. On Saturdays residents around usually meet at the park to carryout some form of aerobics. The park is been run by Abuja recreation park and so if you have an event and need to use a sound system you have need to seek permission first from the authorities The park is calm and peaceful but at evenings hours you have some hoodlum around the park trying to steal anything lying carelessly around. On the other side of the park is jabi mall and close to the park is Jabi boat club. You can visit the park on a Saturday or Sunday and u will enjoy the company of others who also come around.

No safety gears, the boat stopped twice right in the middle of the lake. Do not board unless you have your personal gear as anything can happen and you may drown... And, there is no shelter from rain. So if you do not have a car, do not go during rainy season.

My 4 Star rating is based on my minds eyes perception of how beautiful the park could have been if the facilities were properly maintained. However, The park has beautiful walkways and paths overlooking the Jabi lake. Good for taking a walk or stroll and could have offered better views if given a little attention by the authorities. Saturday morning is the busiest and probably the best day to go for exercises. There are so many people doing so many things and you can be inspired by watching others. You can also join any of the fitness clubs there depending on your sports interest. Sports wears, shoes and some exercise equipment are sold on Saturdays too. Visit the park and have fun.
