From what I could gather (I went along to observe only), rather than a buy and sell directly online, you have to go to the Jumia office with the listed product for a visual inspection for authenticity and quality and packaged according to specifications before you are allowed to sell on their website. You drop off your approved package when you receive an online bid and Jumia will mail it for you. Cost is minimal. There is a waiting period while there but office is clean in a safe neighborhood in Aguda-Surulere area. Staff were polite and helpful and professional. I like the concept.
