Contemporary African restaurant. Fun spot with a quirky decor. The service is about average...some good days and some not so good. Menu offers a fusion of African and continental meals with an innovative twist. Meals are not cheap... quite pricey for the ‘gourmet’ portion. Reservations are best for Certain meals and just to be certain there are no events happening and the restaurant is open to the public. Got a disappointing ‘kitchen not open today to the public’ a couple of times

Very clean and tranquil environment. It has both indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Perfect for a small family dinner or a private date. The menu is full of a variety of options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The food and drink pricing range from N3k to N12k. The restroom was impressively clean. Overall this is an excellent restaurant and a hidden gem in Lagos cuisine.

Chose to dine in NOK last Saturday based on the great reviews I read on this platform. I must say the experience was decent enough. NOK coctail was spot on - I had 2 glasses. The catch of the day, white snapper fish was super-tasty too, only it had lotta bones. Sauteéd Ugu is worth trying as well. You should try them!

Amazing open air restaurant with African themed decor and dishes. Very dope local naming style of the menus and it’s not just the dope names, they taste great as well. Amazing staff that are always helpful, courteous and they served us like we were the only customer. Lovely ambience and clean environment. There is still room for improvement though, especially the flies in the evenings when sitting outdoor.

Lovely restaurant.. i had the starter Sautéed Snails with Garlic, Parsley & Chilli then the Grilled Lobster with Spiced Herb and Smoked Crayfish Sauce..the dessert was Chocolate Tart with Salted Caramel & Baobab Ice Cream.. i like the environment.. the staff are courteous and friendly. Enjoyed the great meals, and the chicken suya and the dessert served at night. It was such an exciting time with my group. Best enjoyed with friends or family. There are large dining tables for groups and smaller ones for couples. The outdoor seating is really nice with the greenery. However, something should be done about the flies that try to perch on food, not encouraging.

The place is so nice. There are rules there you might want to get familiar with to prevent embarrassment. First, pictures in front or beside the store itself isn’t allowed. The restaurant is by the right, the name directs you there. You can sit indoor & outdoor, the outdoor opens at 6pm anytime before 6pm orders aren’t taken outside. The waiters were dressed in an English attire then the waitresses were dressed in a native attire. We were served potato chips before ordering for food. This place is not that affordable much, the appetizer I had was Trio Ofada Balls looked great but didn’t taste as great as I thought, it’s always good to order what you’ve eaten before lol. The Jollof rice I had didn’t taste that great, the Chicken peri peri was so good ! The veggies were properly cooked it was crunchy. I would advise you to take your pictures before eating because the food is so filling. This place has a perfect background for pictures! The lightning, the chairs, the mats damn !

Nok by Alara has an indoor restaurant, outdoor garden restaurant and a concept store. Nok garden’s very unique and eclectic space, displaying vibrant furniture and decor pieces, makes it look pretty as a picture. There was no music playing when I visited but the ambience was great. Service was a little slow though and I thought the food could be more spicy, probably a good idea to request just how much spice you need.

The general vibe here is nice. The decor and ambiance makes for a swanky relaxing hangout spot. I liked the cocktails here, they were good and strong. I did think the food is overpriced. The blackened catfish and plantain meal below was N6000. I was expecting a more reasonable portion for that price point. The outside seating is a nice place to relax and the suya served there is nice. Overall a nice, popular hangout spot if you’re in Lagos.

Lovely restaurant with a beautiful ambience. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The hors d’oeuvres was a platter which consisted of both goat meat and seafood delicacies. The sweet potato crisps were really good! I had an Ivorian dish made of fish and cassava grains (attached in my posts). Tasted really good. the sauce was a tad too bland though. I guess it’s because it’s not a Nigerian dish since we like our meals full of flavour.

Clean and modern restaurant with peaceful ambience and good service, a nice escape from crazy chaotic Lagos! Great place for brunch, the food was delicious and good quality, and cost about 4,000 NGN per dish. Only complaint was that when the band was playing outside the speakers inside were too loud.

One of the best African contemporary restaurants I have been too on the highland. The place is amazing. Their food, drinks, smoothies, desserts are top notch. Spent some time here with my friends and it was worth it. There is an outdoor sitting area outside should you choose to sit outside. They also accept reservations, so you can book ahead. Staffs are very diligent at their job. They are polite and very respectful. Good at handling their jobs. One thing that need to be improved on is the outsider were you try to sit and eat then you have to give some time to chasing flies as that could be very annoying. Work on that Nok ;). My Nok by Alara Experience It’s no doubt the best contemporary African Restaurant i’ve been to in Lagos, hands down. Interesting choice of Menu with signature cocktails. Nok! Absolutely loved their space. This is African food made to fit different palates. Kinda gives a soft landing to individuals (read as tourists) visiting Nigeria for the first time or eating African food for the first time. They could up their service time though. Their outdoor space is beautiful and very arty! Will also be great for a photoshoot. Also, Watch out for nights they have a band performing. Absolute Delight!

Nok is one beautiful African place...place because it is more than a restaurant. First off, the Food is good.....I recognized Nigerian, Ghanaian & Senegalese dishes on their menu yet it still looks well composed. Presentation is effortlessly pretty. Cocktails are amazingly different! You need to try them to understand.... Decor is heavily African inspired....you could sit outside on the most colorful artistic chairs or inside in an upscale dining area. There’s a luxury store upfront with African designer pieces which must be hand-picked because nothing here is regular-fine. I highly recommend for food, drinks, ambience, night life (music is good too), parking 70%, service is fast (the waiters actually do know their menu & obviously eat the food so can explain well).....

Also, when I walked in I politely asked hostess if I could sit in an area with cushions. She rudely said no. Keep in mind that there were other areas where 4 people could be seated. This was also at half past noon on a Tuesday. A period when the restaurant is usually empty. All the whole Inwas there, no 4 party group walked in. Go figure. In fact, the only other party that came in was another couple. The hostessing could use some more work in making people feel welcome.
