Was here with friends; The ambience is great and really love the general vibe. I had The Cheese with extra cheese and it was a juicy delight. My friend that had the chicken sandwich loved it too. My other friends that ordered some half chicken meal with potatoes didn’t really have a great time because the chicken wasn’t as spicy as expected. It was a great experience in all. We’re giving 3 stars because there was an error with our bill and the waiter had to come back to as at the last minute. This made everyone start doing mental mathematics and it wasn’t a good way to end the evening.

When at South do yourself a favor and order their Southern Revival cocktail, it’s amazing! I was this close to ordering wings and fries when my date said I’m always playing it safe so I ordered Jambalaya instead at South. The Jambalaya is like tasty jollof rice with orishirishi - prawns, chicken chunks, sausages and veggies. Different restaurants have their own definition of Jambalaya and I really like this one from South. I paired my food with their signature Southern Revival cocktail and it was bliss. It’s one of those cocktails that tastes sweet as you drink but once you’re done you realise you’re slightly drunk lol. I actually took a break from cocktails because bartenders in Lagos just pour vodka and coke and boom, cocktail but I was thoroughly impressed by this. Price: Jambalaya: N6,500 Southern Revival: N3,200 The space is relatively medium sized. Hand sanitisers were placed on every table which was a good initiative. Their service was great as waiters are friendly and attentive, I gave them a tough time deciding on what to order but they were patient.

DISSAPOINTED - We visited South & Social with high expectations, and unfortunately we left highly disappointed. The food we ate tasted heavily processed. The bread they used to present their "Footlong" was not freshly made, but in fact imported. Their Mac and cheese was poorly presented and not tasty. Their "Dirty fries" and fries were also disappointing we had to send it back. We felt like we wasted our money as we left without finishing the up to half of the food and still hungry! The concept is good, but for the price they are charging, more efforts need to be made in the food they are serving.

This place is located at the entrance of the street off of the main Zenith bank road. As soon as you enter the property there are some nice outdoor tables where you can sit down and have a quiet drink. Once you step inside a transparent glass wall shows the interior along with some very nice modern chairs. The vibe is very fresh and young and the menu contains food items which you would expect in the hip parts of New York.
