Ifako playing ground is a youth and sport playing venue located at Gbagada area of Lagos in Kosofe LGA. It host a lot of sporting activities such has football, judo training, inter-house sports for schools and some social and religious events. It has a standard well maintained football pitch with seaters for fans who come to watch. This playground was carved out within a region beside a hill and its surrounding are 2 metro bridges.

I live near this place and so pass by it quite regularly. I see it has a lot of facilities for those interested in keeping fit and those training for some sports. I have not however entered inside and so do not know the conditions to be satisfied before one can be allowed to use the facilities there.

The playground is a good one and a well sited one. It is a necessity for the community and I also like the Lagos State intervention by rebranding the entire facility with Coca-Cola being at the fore front of the branding but the football pitch is very bad. The pitch was newly laid but after the first rain, it looks so disgusting and that I think that should be look into. There must be a proper drainage so that future heavy downpour will not disappoint if a football match was to be happening. The spectators stand is a beauty to behold amongst the other issues.
