NYSC as a concept is a very laudable initiative on paper. As implemented in Nigeria, its potential is poorly maximized and has become a one year waste of time routine for young Nigerian graduates. However, it remains a compulsory national service scheme. So, this Lagos secretariat, situated opposite the popular Rita Lori Hotel, besides National Population Commission offices, along Babs Animashaun street, serves as the administrative office that handles routine exigencies of the scheme for corps members and staff in Lagos State. It is easily accessible via Bode Thomas or Adelabu streets in Surulere or via Orile. The compound can be better maintained.
