The place is nice. The staffs are friendly. A very comfortable and affordable place to have a good taste of food. You will surely get your value for your money. You get what you see. Nice atmosphere and neat space. Different type of dishes: combined rice and beans, rice, spaghetti, iyan, porridge, amala, fufu, eba, also soups efo, gberigiri, ewedu, and so on.

This is a very nice place to get correct amala if you know what I mean. Though they have varieties of food available from rice to Fufu and the likes. It can be crowded most times and can be super annoying to have to wait a long time to get food apart from that the place is a cool place.

I decided to give this place a try after a friend recommended the spot and claimed it was probably the best around the area. I came in for the Amala ( you could google the name just Incase you are wondering what it is ) but unlike my usual Amala spots this one was indoor in a not so spacious hall. I however placed an order for what I came for expecting to have the time of my life, the meal In My Opinion was nice but wasn’t the best of them all. The environment was neat and tidy even though a bit crowded and the staffs handled their jobs pretty efficiently. Good quality amala and local Yoruba stews, however the quality of service is almost as bad as the food is good. The small minded servers have clearly not been trained in good service. The owner seems not to have muchbusiness sense, renovating the interior without changing the service style and mindset of staff. For example, no matter how much amala you request, or how much meat or fish you buy, the servers will always give the same quantity of stew...and even at that, they appear to do so very reluctantly. This means that halfway through your meal, you are eating dry amala. They do the same with everything they serve. For crying out loud, increase the price or have clear standards of measurement + cost of extra soup if that is what is needed to ensure the customers are properly served. Will not be going back in a long while, which is a pity for a place with such potential.

Major make-over of the space. Parking is still a chore. The ambience inside is a lot better. The variety is still assured. The highlight is somewhere between the rice and seed replete stew and the Amala served in the Abula pattern. The stern-looking servers are still not generous with the soup portions as expected of Yoruba bukas where soup is not for sale, rather it is a favour.

Hot spot for local dishes with amala, gbegiri, ewedu and goat meat as topline delicacy and favourite here. Best place to get decent late night food on the mainland. A little bit pricey compared to the local bukkas but the recent investment in the ambience eliminates the grudge. The only minus is the history of poor service (insults and haughtiness by the stewards) which does not happen when the new managers are around.
