My visit to Tarkwa bay beach today was nothing short of awesome. Having the company of friends in this natural beauty helps uplift the spirit and brings fun back to life. This beach usually bubbles as night as people come from far and wide to enjoy the view and have fun with various music genres been played and fun activities. For my afternoon visit, my friends and I had the pleasure of boat rides both to and fro the beach. We tried out both the smaller and bigger boats just for the experience. We also went on the raft and caught a glimpse of some packed ships. The weather was just perfect. To enjoy this amazing beach, it is best to go when there is spare time, in the evening and with the company of friends... I can promise you that you will be wowed.

It is a nice and quiet beach, with jet ski and the likes. The most conducive means of transportation is by ferry and the prices varies (500-1000naira), nice ambient.....cool guitarman. You will pay for gate fees, rent a tent. Just bring your party (food,drinks and extra cash) to the beach. Night ferry is an extreme sport.

The most popular places to get a boat to Tarkwa Bay are Marina, Mekwe Jetty, and Tarzan Marine ( Victoria Island).

But one can hardly anything to buy to chill, expect one come with the item 7. There hardly a place where one can take cover when it is raining and it is advisable one to the beach Umbrella and Rain especially in the raining period. The Tarkwa beach is reachable through boat and ferry and other water transport modes.

Tarkwa Bay is a great and serene place to relax from the hustling and bustling of the ever growing city. The bay offers a shed for a large group of people at a cheap price. Fish, drinks, swim suits and trunks and other stuffs are available to buy there at a slightly higher price than normal. Horse ride, desert bike ride and various games are available. The fare from CMS fluntuate between 300-500 Good for tourists and holiday lovers.

Lagos most secured beach. Takwa beach is located on Takwa bay, an island off lagos. It can only be accessed by water hence the relative low patronage. The beach is very neat and well organized, the community youths clean it on daily basis. Its very cool and less crowded hence good for a good time away from the noise and activities of the city. The down side of it is that you may have to go with your food and drinks as there are not too many vendors there. Gate fee is N200. You can get boats from opposite Bonny Camp for N500

A very serene spot to chill with family and friends. There are food stalls and fruit stad at the village where you can purchase stuffa to eat and drink. There are also chairs and tenta available to relax when the sun comes out. A volley ball net is also on the beach so you can come along with you beach volley ball.

If you are looking for a quiet romantic time, you should visit Tarkwa Bay Beach on a weekday. Though Tarkwa Bay Beach is a small and lesser visited beach, many fun seekers visit it during the weekends, public holidays and festive season. Another thing you should consider is the time of the year. It’s best t avoid visiting the bay during the rainy season (April to September). Remember you can only get to and from Tarkwa Bay by water and rain has the ability to make the ocean tempestuous. You wouldn’t want to put yourself in harm’s way. Besides, rain and beach relaxation isn’t actually a good combination. While planning your visit to Tarkwa Bay Beach, you should know that the last speedboat taking passengers back to Marina (CMS) leaves the bay at 6:00 pm. Unless you have plans to stay over on the island, you should set out for the beach early enough to give yourself time to enjoy the fun that the beach has to offer.

One of the best place to enjoy sea in Lagos. Cool n calm. No need to drive one hour to reach the beach. Just take ferry from down the folomo bridge and in less than 15 minutes you are there. Small huts available for rent ranging from 500 naira per chair to 10000 for whole big hut. Changing room available. Just carry your stuffs and enjoy.

Takwa Bay is a fun beach. The coast line is pretty decent and clean obviously well maintained by the inhabitants and urchins at the bay area. Getting to TakwaBay is via boat, and it is barely 10mins riding the waves from Addax jetty which is beside oriental hotel. Beach is best enjoyed in a group. Plan your own food and drinks and make arrangement for music too if you can. You can also buy artefacts at the beach and rent a quad bike or even play games. Fun experience all the way.

My trip to Takwa bay starts at the ferry terminal in CMS. The boat ride cost from N300 to N400 depending on the day and timing. After about 10 minutes on the ferry, you should be at Takwa bay beach, which is on an island. The beach is calm with clear waters, it is filled with locals from the island, tourist and others who came to chill. While at the beach, you could surf at the waves, get refreshing coconut water, quad biking, swim, tour the villages or just chill at the cafe. For pro surfers there is the abundance of high waves. The view of ships at the anchorage waiting to be cleared before proceeding to the port is awesome. The scenery is filled with yachts, Eko Atlantic high-risers, ships, boats and surfers. This is my best beach in Lagos so far.
