The Lagos State University Ojo (LASU) is located along the Ojo Badagry express way of Lagos state. It is accessible from Badagry, or Mile 2 or from Iyana Ipaja areas of Lagos. "Lasu" for short currently ranks high in Nigeria University ranking as one of the best five state owned universities in Nigeria, Lagos State University is ranked top among universities whose graduates are most employable, etc. Lagos State University enjoys good patronage from the state government, although, the extent of funding leaves a lot more to be desired, academic infrastructures such as libraries, lecture halls, cafeterias etc are in some deplorable states, there are notable capital intensive projects such as an ultramodern library, new senate building etc almost near completion. The current administration of Lagos state university has done great works in ensuring quality of education within the school system, in the last four years, the system has been literally sanitised and some bad eggs thrown out.
