Z kitchen is one of the newer fine dining restaurants in Lagos comparable to RSVP. This place is always busy in the evenings probably because it is quite new. I had dinner at this place several days ago and the service was amazing. The waitresses name was faith and the service that she delivered was probably one of the best I have had in Nigeria.

Great Space, Absolutely loved the decor,there is an outdoor smoking area, a wine bar at the back and a super cool and chic courtyard! The starters were very small portioned and probably not suitable for sharing! My Z Experience Another wonderful fine dining experience. They have a very impressive selection of meats from the butcher’s cut on the menu. I ordered the Ostrich fillet out of curiosity and I wasn’t disappointed. It was so mouthwatering and juicy! Such a Beautiful Restaurant, the white utensils wall caught my gaze. I was going to give Z Kitchen 4 and a half stars because the soufflé was not amazing and we had a cheese knife instead of a butter knife. But since I cannot do a half, they get the full 5 stars as the service was exceptional which is not something you say often about any restaurant. When we walked into the empty restaurant, we were told the restaurant was fully booked. After a quick check, we were ushered to a cosyish table on the side between the main restaurant and the area screened off for more private events. Orders taken promptly and food and drink came to the table in a decent space of time. Staff seemed genuinely concerned that we were having a good time. We ordered an additional carafe of wine which was forgotten but this was an small fly in the ointment of a very good service delivery. As we left, the lady who saw us in offered to give us their card so we could call ahead and get better seating next time around. From the car park the chap in charge helped us manoeuvre out of the park and stayed with us until we were free of the traffic. He had also directed is to drive into the compound to be dropped off when we arrived, as there was no space outside. Service is everything and Z Kitchen seems to be trying to get it right. Oh yeah, the food was very good, had the calamari starter and the chicken schnitzel sandwich which comes with a ton of fries.

Excellent dining experience. We had the Calamari A La Plancha for starters. It felt like I was having soggy suya and I enjoyed it but my friend didn’t. For our main, we had the Fisherman Rice and Ribeye steak. The Ribeye was really delicious and the mash potatoes was yummy. I felt the mash portion was small though. My friend enjoyed the fisherman rice as well. The ambience is really cool and I have never seen so many expats in one place in Lagos. We also had the Victoria Island and Strawberry Breeze cocktail.

The lady who receives you when you walk in has a huge smile on her face, the waiters are courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. The chilli sauce came with the food which in other places you will have to remind them after the food has been served. Over all I enjoyed my experience there.

The cocktails are really nice. Good sized glasses and very well made drinks. The customer service is top notch. The waitresses have been trained very well. I applaud the management. I cant fault much. The food was decent but the portions could do with an increase. For such a pricey place, portions should be bigger.
