I needed to host a mini scrabble competition and of all the places that came to mind, this was the perfect fit. Freedom Park is an Open space, airy, field-like with seats and tables, memorable and historical with nearby relatable food spots. Perfect for small meetings, games, friendly banters, lovers, and family alike. Plus, the historical background of the place makes it a perfect place for plays and theatre performances which happen fortnightly.

I loved it there. I went to see a play at the Lagos Theatre festival and ended up spending the evening there. It was loads of fun with lots of great picture spots.

Saw a free play at one of the outdoor stages and it felt like I was in the abroad. I would suggest that management add sound equipment so it’s easier for the actors to show their craft. The play was fantastic plus it’s always a lovely experience coming here, the ambience epitomises the name of the park.

Never knew there was something spectacular behind the massive walls I often pass by in this area. The statues and artworks here are pleasant. Love the fact that each statue and artwork has a description and short story beside it to explain what it means. I enjoyed the gardens and greenery. There are relaxation sheds and stages for live shows and performance. Entry fee is N200 per person and the parking is free. My first time here was very enriching and fulfilling. I quickly began to recall my thoughts and had a sense of belonging with the various historical relics and notable personalities that had been immortalized.

Heard about this place being a good location for music and concerts. visited it on week day so there wasnt any concert. Its a good place to hangout, there different sections and exibition that you can visit. The sitting area has been creatively done. There is an entry fee for the park , you can use your mobile phone but not a proper camera.

Excellent serene creative environment right in the middle of the hustling and bustling of the ever busy Lagos Island. An artistic environment for quiet and reflective moments and at the same a very good place to hang out, eat, drink, and dance. They have an ever dynamic pools of events that keep it lively. Park fee is N200. Any other thing is paid for. Usually, apart from the gate fee you can have a really good just exploring the park. Lots of historical stories, sculptures, pond etc that should connect you to nature and your creative side. I should give it a 5star but for the food court whose food are expensive. Overall, a 4+.

Really nice place to unwind and relax in the evening. They had a live jazz band playing when I visited and a stand up comedian, and they were really good I have to add. Really cool ambience, which surprised me as it is located in the heart of Lagos Island. There are different stalls selling all forms of food and drink at reasonable prices. I enjoyed my time there and would go again. I recommend it for a visit. P.S they have loads of activities lined up for the festive period, so you might want to give them a look.

Freedom Park is quite beautiful, the lovely ponds and water fountain makes it a sight to behold. The food and drink court is great, the prices are not so dear. This last visit, I noticed is quite cleaner and more secure, Man O War now man the gates. Kudos to the the folks maintaining it. It is the perfect place to host a play or a mini concert. I went there for a rock show. It was a lovely experience.

The park can host any corporate event, ranging from award show to dinner party etc down to relaxation spot. The park has some significant structure and sculptures that talk about the Lagos history.

Home for the Calm mind. If you are interested in History and you want to just relax under no pressure and have a little fun then freedom Park is the place to visit. My advice for those who will want to go read or clear their head the best time is to visit on a Saturday between the hours of 11am to 3pm. For the night life and chills, I think all evenings are fine if you are lucky a theatre play could be happening. Have fun

My experience here was very bad. We were not allowed to enter into the park because a show was going on inside. We were told to pay entry fee of #1,000 which is the entry fee for the event. The park is popular for various kinds of hangouts. I came here for a street party and it was wonderful. There was a seamless blend of people of various societal levels. Fun was everywhere. Difficult to get parking but there were people to help with that so I can’t complain. There was security too. I understand there is a place where you can eat local dishes during the week but that was there during the party. Fun place good also for photography. It is quite historic and has a lot of history attached to it.

It is a very very terrible place, I was there four consecutive times and they were all gory experiences. Right from the entrance, the security officers are most uncourteous and inconsiderate. They are just interested in collecting entry fee. As I sat down to eat behold two audacious cats did not allow me to have peace, they wanted to partake in my meal. Infact the freedom park arena is littered with cats and other reptiles. Where I relocated to was another disastrous location. Several men with their women were smoking Indian hemp indiscriminately. I almost choked. So I had to abandon the food and scamper out of the Freedom Park arena. Really really terrible place. I will NEVER step my feet there. NEVER!
