Quiet serene lodging on Agege road, a true throw-back to the times when life was much simpler.
☺️ Very simple rooms with comfortable beds (I’d forgotten hotel beds could come so comfy) and pristinely clean bathrooms.
The fittings in the building (like the louvres and wooden flooring) are a throw back to the middle 90s, but rather than being a turn-off, it actually adds to the quiet beauty of the guest house.
Lovely caring staff who were very helpful with directions on navigating my way in Lagos, really tasty food and a family-like camaraderie with other guests at the guest house dinner serving room.
I wish I could take the serenity of this place away with me. Would absolutely recommend it for anyone who wants to get away from the bustle of Lagos life while still in the heart of the city, downtown.
N/b:
The guest house is a direct bus route away from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital at IdiAraba, the commute is about 15-20minutes, even in the worst traffic.
I had my own internet access on portable devices and had no problems with connectivity.
There was access to simple, low cost cable TV in the rooms.
A stand-by generator was switched on to cover for periods where the electricity went out at night, and was available if power outages lasted more than an hour in daytime.
Totally loved staying here.
