For its location within the Maryland Mall, Genesis Cinema is a place to go to watch movies and generally hang out. Due to space constraints, peak periods (during festive seasons or movie premieres) will be a challenge as there would be added on service delivery and cinema capacity will be pushed to its limits. If you are able to time your visits, you would enjoy the experience.

The Cinema is really good and I like that they show a lot of Nollyhood now which is good for our local brand. One time my phone battery ran out and the staff was kind enough to help me power it up. The seating space at the rear end need more space. I think they need to reduce the number of adverts shown before movies. The restroom is not so comfortable so you might need to watch your pee level before coming to see a movie.

Change in show time with no explanation; I went to watch sugar rush the other day and movie was rescheduled for like another 45mins with no explanation meaning we didn’t enter until like 1hr 15mins after the actual time. Then the adverts before the actual movie is way too long

Like most proper cinemas in Nigeria, Genesis cinema @Maryland mall is set in a classic mall affording it an excellent and inviting environment. Ticket prices are fairly good depending on when you visit; of course weekends, public holidays and blockbusters may require that you pay double. You can have drinks, popcorn and other snacks with your movie only if they are purchased at the cinema.

Their services here is good and while waiting for your movie time or when you are done with it you can look around and have loads of fun. I like the location, topmost floor of Maryland Mall. The staff are very courteous, and friendly. They also have current movies. I think they need to start movies as schedule because the adv can be tiring at times. There is complimentary drink but you need to buy popcorn though.

Well packaged cinema at mainland part of Lagos. Really love the place and their movie. Packing space available and sometimes they charge for packing from 30minutes up. Pricing is really reasonably and affordable. The mall is very beautiful and a lot of side attractions in the mall. Infact the place is worth being there for you and your family and your love ones. Beautiful movie Hall. I will highly recommend this place for young people and children. Playground available for children and lots more.

I had the best time here. This place reminds me of a music department building in a university I once visited. From the outside it looks soundproof, just lovely different architecture from most malls around Lagos. The food court has an assortment of top vendors and that is where my fond memories are coming from. I still remember the food I ate, on my visit a year ago, hut I have forgotten the vendor, sorry. Well worth a visit.if.you are in the area.

There was too many advert before the movie started which was kinda irritating considering the fact that it was a 7pn movie and 30 minutes was consumed to adverts. They also need more staffs at the ticketing stand, there was only one PC attending to a lot of people. But the refreshment stand was welcoming, the staffs at the stand were friendly too. Another thing, fix broken sits in your cinema rooms please, the change need to start with us as people. We do not value maintenance as a country.

When I am in the mood for back to back viewing, I would rather go to Ozone where I can spend less for more. So far, I think its the worst in Lagos. Their movie time online is most times different from what you meet when you get there. Distorts your well planned day. Staff is not bad though. A few need to be warned against begging customers for money in the bathroom though. And yeah, their movie tickets are expensive #rollingmyeyes
