Nkoyo EssienEclectic, music store tucked away in Ikoyi. Must see if you are taking in the Lagos music scene or just as part of a culture stop. Be sure to spend enough time so that you can really explore. Maybe grab a coffee

Justin BarnesI came here to buy records and man did I find an amazing amount 33s stacked in organized piles. I was in a rush but after digging through a stack the owner Tejuso and I began to chat and I found out he’s spent sometime in Brooklyn as well. A great wealth of energy, happiness and tunes. Coffee shop and seats in the back for hanging. Don’t come here for a Starbucks come here for the culture.

Nayaba CosmosThe Jazzhole is a quaint and old fashioned store for books of all genres and from all ages. They also have a wide variety of records from different ages. They need to however organise their book collections into sections as the books are currently not catalogued and shelved.

Dennis EtiweMassive collection of books and music selections including music from way back. Came here to get a book but was inspired to pick up a collection of Jazz music as well. The store I believe a location of choice for jazz and blues music enthusiasts. They also often have onsite programmes that have to with quintessential events, stars and artists. Highly recommended.
