Balmoral events and convention center located within the premises of the Federal Palace Hotel Victoria Island is an upscale events facility. They have a convention centre and also lots of pop up gazebos that could be set up to fit any event type and theme. The facility is big with well kept rest rooms. Security service is tight and very accessible. High profile events are usually held there. Recently they hosted the international drinks festival which was a three day event with lots of fun. It featured various international and domestic drink brands on display with lots of tasting and sampling offered. Drinks summit featured industry players and regulatory authorities address issues concerning the drink industry in Nigeria. Master classes were held where guests were taken behind the scene of cocktail making. The only downside of the event was there the outcome was not properly harnessed into issuing communiqué for government attention. There were no statements issued to the government that could form policy documents for consideration in growing and promoting the drinks industry. But on organisational ability, the Balmoral group did an excellent job. The evenings were packed with lots of entertainment and outdoor events. Lots to drink .....but less to eat.

Balmoral Convention Centre is a large event centre for various types of activities. It is situated on the grounds of Federal Palace Hotel. It’s well set out and its being inside an international hotel, gives it added security. When big events are held, it’s pretty difficult to park one’s vehicle as all the car parks are filled up. It’s above standard.

A community hall inside Federal Palace Hotel in Ahmadu Bello way, Victoria Islands. Attended programs organized by Vama Wave Foundation and it was really nice. The whole event was nicely managed, except minor issues with the Lightning in the buffet area. I was afraid of the quality of the washrooms, however, they were quite clean and nicely maintained.

Considering the space, it can hold upto 1000 people for any event. Staff friendly & helpful. Facilities are in excellent condition. Parking no issues. But traffic issues inside the property could be a problem as everyone departs through security. Best to go wait inside Federal Palace for a drink to kill time

Another one of the many event centres in Lagos. Located within the Federal Palace hotel. If you can avoid driving there, you should, parking is always a problem when the event being held here is very “big”. There’s additional parking about 2 mins walk away from the venue off Adeola Odeku.

Decorations and sound systems are superb.
