Godwin OdibiAkesan Market is located in Akesan Town, in Alimosho Local Government area of Lagos state. The market is made up of makeshift shops, and was originally established by the indigenes of the town, to serve as a night market; operating between 6.00pm to10.00pm. Overtime, it became a full-time market. Presently, the market is operated both by indigenes and settlers with various backgrounds. The market deals mainly in food items, both processed and unprocessed. It is the main market that serves the entire town. This market is compact, with little or no room for future expansion. The market can be accessed from different directions within the town. It is localized to the town. In other words, you hardly see people from other parts of Lagos State patronising the market. For now, this market remains a local market, unless there is Government intervention to modernize it.

Festus OkporEasily accessible and within the Community. The market women are friendly. You can get everything you need ranging from foodstuff, fresh frozen meat, fish and chicken, wooden planks, electrical materials, lots of POS points but no clothing materials like other main markets. The bad side of this market is the bad road especially now that it is the season of rainfall. The road is motorable.
