Bashorun OmotolaThe Nike Art center should be part of our cultural heritage. The center houses unique art pieces, from artsy pictures frames, to drawings, paintings, sculptures, fabrics and a host of other art pieces curated by Mama Nike herself. If you are an artist, you should visit to see if you art could be on display or probably learn what gives. If you are a collector, you should be here as well. Meeting Mama Nike, she exudes brilliance and accommodates all and sundry, she is quite friendly. If you visit once, you should once again as the art center is ever evolving.

Tiana BuddyNike art gallery is a must to goo places for me in Lagos. I had a great time there I saw beautiful artworks by the great woman Artworks made with beads and paintings If you love to take pictures and you want to feel light and love, just go there You don’t have to pay for entry as long as you’re are less than 5 in a group Once you exceed that number Yo pull pay They nice beautiful artworks and wears I took soo many pictures and we were told not to take videos but they weren’t strict about it Go put a smile on your face

O
ojewale olaideReal show of brilliance in the form art from the entrance to burglary to the pieces on display. You could walk in and around for free. You just have to heed to the really easy house rules. You could buy any piece of your choice. You should definitely visit this place if you love art. The parking space isn’t so big (not sure if they have more than 1) but it was just fine. Took all cars available as of the time I was there. I guess it wasn’t “peak” hour for visitors.
-
T
Temitope PopoolaBeautiful hall, Loads of lovely arts, nice ambience, well lit... You can take lovely pictures and also buy your favorite arts.
-
O
Olanlokun DaramolaGreat ambience with palm wine offerings at the entrance. The yard displays sculptures you’d have to closely examine to understand the level of detailing each of them possess. There are 3 floors above the ground floor each with remarkable art you need to look closely at to understand the sort of work it takes to create them and the commitment it entails to finish such pieces. It features works of different artists and most of the older works are in the top floors. The pieces are in different sizes. It’s definitely a lovely alternative to other popular activities. Sure is a good place for a date as it helps you discover how the other person perceives things. Parking isn’t the biggest so you might consider making space for others when you are done or taking a taxi there. Pictures are allowed as long as you are in it as well.
-
O

F
Folusho A AdelekanYou are warmly embraced by the vividness of Nigerian art when you walk into this beautiful Art Centre set in over 4 floors packed full of Art - paintings, sculptures and other art installations in all their glory. Only criticism is they didn’t seem to have enough staff or easily identifiable staff so it was difficult to make inquiries on pieces of interest. Also be sure to go with a platinum debit/credit card or a bag of money. Prices aren’t for the faint hearted but negotiable. You have to really truly appreciate the craftsmanship and creativity that goes into the art pieces to understand the pricing of the beautiful pieces displayed at the gallery. However if you can’t yet afford the more pricey art pieces, you can opt for wearable art by purchasing the adire cloth pieces (t-shirts, kaftans, scarves and fabric) and African jewelry pieces. It is also a fantastic place to take pictures using the art as a backdrop. However, it says picture taking isn’t allowed but this is apparently not monitored as I saw a few people taking pictures in the gallery. Also if you have children below 10 with you, you need to sign an indemnity form because kids below 10 aren’t allowed in the gallery.
-

Temi AkinrefonChief Dr. Nike is a true Yoruba woman: she amd her team weaves stories with the greatest of ease, giving you more than a passing glance at a piece. The art at the gallery represents the work of local metal workers, painters, and sculptors. The presence of the artists and the owner provide an intimate setting in a huge gallery. I would definitely go again.

Mahbub BasetJust 15 minutes drive from Lekki/VI toll gate ( depends on traffic), this place is a must visit if you really love paintings. You will find a large collection of authentic paintings of the celebrity Nigerian painters. The owner was available during our visit on a Saturday and she was amazing. Interesting part is that the restaurant/snack bar outside did not charge us for the minerals that we bought. We were told that it is a courtesy from the management. If you can afford, want to buy authentic Nigerian paintings, can try out Nike ( they will provide you the certification of authentication).

Kunbi AdetayoIf you want to buy good art, window shop for good art, want to visit a world class arts gallery, then this is the place to go to. I like the fact that there is also very reasonably priced artworks for as low as N5,000 which is to encourage everyone to be able to purchase artworks. Ther is also a crafts shop at the gallery for handmade bags, jewellery etc. And best of all, Professor Nike the gallery owner is also at the gallery welcoming guests! What could be more receptive than that?

Ahmed YusufA magnificent five-storey building coated in spotless white, standing high and proud in its environs, Nike’s Art Gallery tells its story from the outside. The fence of the compound is adorned with rare marbles. Its walls are covered in different artistic inscriptions and drawings. You immediately feel a deep sense of awe once you walk through its colourfully tattooed black gates. This historical abode ranks high in the list of bedazzling Lagos destinations. From the inner courtyard of the gallery where you’ll find the stone sculptures, tie-dye workshop, and hanging craftworks, to the wide variety of art displayed inside the magnificent structure, you can rest assured that your love for Nigerian art will go through the roof.
