Oluwaseun OpeyemiFestac Town Gate is popularly called First Gate. This is because Festac Town itself have three major gate but only this one goes by the name gate. The first gate is the popular one but not the most used. The second gate is called Agboju. This place is popularly known as the market area of Festac Town. The second gate is also another root to enter into Festac Town. The second gate is is used for market where various commodities are on display for sale. The third gate is called Alakija. This is last major route that provides both entrance and exit service for the people to use. Alakija which is refer to as the third gate is right now the most busiest gate leading into Festac Town. There are various activities going on here like buying and selling, and majorly transportation services. The site at Alakija, the third gate is not all that different from that of Festac Town Gate, popularly called First Gate. There are mini-buses, tricycles (keke), and bike (okada) ready to take people to any part of Festac Town. The Festac Town gate is beautifully designed. The first gate is built with the design that automatically restrict big and heavy duty trucks from coming into the Festac Town. Though the design for that of the first gate is still the best among the three gates but all provides restrictions for the lorry and all heavy duty trucks. The Festac Town Gate is simply unique.
