Grew up with the famous experience of sharing a plate of curry and chicken. Ikoyi Club is the best place to enrol your family to a health and fitness club. Though the membership is exclusive and maybe expensive but it is well worth it because there’s a lot you can do like swim, play lawn tennis, ride the donkey or horse if it’s still there? Play squash and of course buy world famous suya. I learnt how to swim perfectly there and won’t mind enrolling kids to have that same experience.

It is a club with history and that history over time has been sustained. The club is has also been able to resolve different issues it has faced over time from the quality of its facade which was dealth with and additional parking which usually causes traffic before now but now a multilevel parking was built in record time to solve that problem. The quality of facilities within the club are top-notch and the current managers are doing a great job. Right from its car park to its reception, you will feel this sense of security and I must say, this club is expensive.

We were there for an invitational friendly swimming competition and only saw the pools. They have 3 pools; a shallow kids pool, a lap pool (33m) and a non-regular shaped pool for the casual swimmer. The pools looked clean and well kept.

Ikoyi club is a members only Heritage club, but members can also bring their friends along with them. What I love about this place is they have preserved the heritage and at the same time continued to add value additions in terms of infrastructural development. Love their Chicken, Goat meat Suya, Prawns, fish fillet and fried fish. The multi storied car park is a great relief for the self driven cars.
