The human and vehicle traffic on this bridge is usually high. Parking space on the bridge is usually very difficult. My first time visiting Lagos and the idumota market, I was surprised when I had to pay 500 for a parking space. It was a good experience though, seeing the throng of people going about their daily hustling for a living was intriguing. You also have to be very smart, fast and vigilant as you could run into miscreants.

The bridge starts from Oworonshoki which is linked to the Apapa-Oshodi express way and Lagos-Ibadan express way, and ends at the Adeniji Adele Interchange on Lagos Island. There is also a link midway through the bridge that leads to Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba. The bridge was built by Julius Berger Nigeria PLCand opened by President Ibrahim Babangidain 1990; it measures about 11.8 km in length.
