Iddo is also very popular with vehicles going to the North and differrnt parts of Nigeria, traders often waybill their goods to their final destination. It is not a place yo go wuth a private car except when going to a particular warehouse to use their parking space. It is just a loud market with alk sorts going on at same time. I kust add, it is better than what ut used to be years ago.

If you are looking for food stuffs in Lagos and want quality items at cheap rates, then you should visit this market. It is a very busy place and you may experience vehicular and human traffic when moving round the market. If possible, you may choose to park your vehicle at a convenient place (a little distance from the market) where you can easily navigate your way out, and then enter the market, make your purchases and take them with tricycle to where your car is parked. That way, you would have saved your self some quality time and stress of being locked down in traffic. There are a number of trucks plying the road that also contribute to the causes of the traffic jam. Also, you could set out early enough so you would have time to do all your shopping and still have enough time to "beat" the traffic. You can access the market from Carter Bridge and this is closer or from Eko Bridge after Oyingbo Market which is quite farther if you are coming from the island. And you can connect 3rd mainland Bridge and immediately proceed to the island once you are done. When going to the market, you may have to go with cash (but keep it safe) as most shops do not have POS yet. Always ensure you do not expose your cash. Generally, the market is well organised and neat. You will find your shopping quite rewarding.
