It was pretty busy because of the incomplete construction works going on over there. As a result, it resulted in heavy traffic coupled with the public buses dropping off commuters. I imagine that when the construction works are completed, it will be a more pleasant place to go to. In the meantime the law enforcement agencies need to clamp down on erring road users to enhance smooth commuting.

This place is usually nothing less than a nightmare for many commuters during the rush hours of the week days. the bridge connects Lagos Abeokuta highway with Idimu Igando/Agege roads. the area has been under repairs for over eight months and still counting. There is a regular presence of military personnel stationed adjacent to the bridge on the side adjourning to Agege, and this group usually exploit the transport operators and this usually adds to the slow down on the highway. The Bridge is also a significant landmark for strangers who may not be familiar with the area, for example people intending to board buses for a long distance travel, a lot of the major players in the Nigerian transportation sector have established their presences around the Iyana Ipaja bridge, and all the above account for the difficulty commuters face in navigating across the bridge. From Iyana Ipaja one can get bus going to most parts of South West, south south and south east Nigeria.
