Easily the biggest shopping mall in Lagos without a doubt but that might change soon judging by the speed and manner in which malls of all shapes and sizes are springing up everywhere in the Lagos Metropolis. The carpark is massive and properly laidout. Nearly everything and anything can be found here: from ice cream shops to exotic bars & restaurants. Quite popular for their variety of rice,be it jollof,fried rice,chicken bread etc. The cashiers on the other hand,i think are unfriendly,handle items a bit brashly,do not offer an explanation if an item comes with an issue,maybe the code or damaged. They over stuff items in nylons,not minding if the client can properly carry to their destinations. All in all,you can shop and ignore the attitude at the till so as not to spoil your shopping experience.

Amazing super store, with variety of products, my only issue with this place is that the staff selling liquor are to aggressive. It’s nice to allow customers move around freely, we are already in your store why market more? It will also be nice if you can validate free parking for your customers. There is a good number of payment till, but it’s not always occupied with staff, if they can improve on that, there will be less queue on the tills.

You can also get readily available gift cards to give out as gifts. The store is well arranged and items can be easily located. They also have enough staff to attend to you when needed. Some of their stocks are relatively cheap but some are pricey. Though, It is usually crowded.

Perhaps arguably one of the busiest shopping mall in the whole of Lagos. The mall boasts of a huge floor space and almost anything is available on offer to its incredibly large customers. You are most likely guaranteed to ditch your shopping list once you walk only a third of the aisle. The mall has a modest toy collection which any parent would have difficulties choosing from. There is also a good number of payment till/register to ease the queues to pay. I am particularly impressed by payment tills dedicated to customers buying less than 10 items. If you are shopping here during the yuletide, be prepared to wait your turn to pay!

This is another great shopping mall, strategically positioned with good use of space. Specious parking lot(enough for its customers), one stop shopping mall for most of your needs. But the clause here is usually at the point of payment after making purchases, not enough cashiers/payment points and they are generally slow. POS service downtime is unusual common in this place unfortunately. One good feature the have here is great access and exit gates, also the have made provisions for customers on wheelchair in their parking lot, and this is one of their standards.

I do recommend the place for general grocery shopping.

A little better management would go a long way to ease this situation. e.g. The person at the checkout stand should NOT be the one bagging groceries as this slows down proceedings considerably. Customers can either bag their own groceries or have a designated bagging person. The next big observation I made is how consistently dirty the floor is. I’m sure their explanation for this is the amount of foot traffic that comes through. However because I have interacted with many Nigerian or Nigerian-related businesses (home and abroad) and have found this to be a trend, I’m more inclined to believe this is mostly habitual. Long story short, they need to do a better job in keep their premises spick and span.

Hold onto your wallets, phones, keys, bags because everyone is packed like sardines in here. The associates are practically useless. No one knows where anything is located. The shelves are a mess. Product is strewn across everywhere. Checkout is slow and you will probably be waiting in line for roughly an hour. The prices are hilariously overpriced and expensive. Prepare to pay 200% more for products you can find anywhere else for significantly cheaper. The place is smelly and stuffy due to the congestion. Congratulations Shoprite. You have successfully created HELL ON EARTH. My God.
