When my cabbie told me about Quiet lane i must admit to being a bit dubiou.,
However, the decor and respectable service of the staff quickly won me over. I was witnessing a merging of afrocentic modernism and European miniamlims blended to its finest. After settling in I then asked of what to eat and they suggested the Smoked Chicken and Sauteed Vegetables (Aparu) with rice. I orderd it, although, I must confess that I have previously had delicacies in Nigeria each time it was met with bouts of stomach trouble. When the dish came I was stunned by the fluffy white rice and the deliouse aroma coming from the steamed vegetables and smoked chicken. I couldnt wait to dig in. When I did the smoky flavor of the chicken and the sweet profile of the carrots seemed to titalate every part of my palette. The best part was that my stomach quit its rumbling as if eating this savory meal was the anwser all along. Five out of Five. Well done Quite Lane well done!!
